Sup /fit/ skinnyfag here
Just started a new job unloading trucks for 12 hours last night and it kicked my ass. I start again in 2 hours. I'm already loading up on carbs now and plan on drinking a protein shake before I leave. Anything else I can do to help me survive this job? Pic not related
hello, so ill join the army in a month and i need to loose 15 kg's, any ideas?
I bet you can't even walk a mile. 15 kg in a month is a hardcore diet. you could probably do it if you believe in yourself and you also do sport and go to the gym. Just get to a proper nutritionist and ask her the same question.
Has lifting improved your posture? I have forward head posture and I was wondering if lifting would help. Any specific workouts that would help with pic related? Anything to make my neck look shorter really. If I correct put my head back and stand with correct posture i lose my chin and look like a worm
It's easter Sunday and I ate like shit. I had an everything omelet for breakfast with hash browns. And pork roast with dumplings and gravy and coleslaw for dinner. I've done so well but my family pressed me into eating with them since I rarely do.
What did you eat?
I need to hit it soon boys.
For brunch I had:
Two slices of local rye bread
5 boiled eggs
About 300g of smoked salmon
Two slices of Orange Bishop bread
Half a Czech almond bun
And some local goat cheese
I'm probably going to go over my goal today but that's fine, it's a holiday.
What cardio do you do to supplement your lifting?
Walking. When it's nice I just powerwalk for about 30-60 minutes a day, in winter (which last 6 fucking months in Canada) I use the treadmill and pic a speed/elevation that keeps my heartrate ~150.
>that guy at the gym who does 100 reps on every machine, with the lowest weight possible
>that girl who's on her phone for 10 mins between every set
>that girl doing elliptical with yoga pants who is litterally bending over to do her cardio
she has to do it on purpose, right?
Hello guys, just got shoulder dislocation while bench pressing on upper bench (failed to put one hand down and barbell fall to other side) and have few questions for ppl with same experience
>could i ever again bench press? Anybody with dislocated shoulder can u still work out on your full potential after that?
>What is time required of muscular inactivity to cause atrophy? And how fast regression going on?
>I heard saying that risk for dislocation increase after first dislocation....

Have had both shoulders dislocated during non lifting exercise. Yes, you can work out again. But you have to accept that you have to be careful with some lifts like overhead press. But apart from that I think lifting isnt too risky as your shoulder muscles are usually flexed which reduces the risk of dislocation.
>>What is time required of muscular inactivity to cause atrophy? And how fast regression going on?
I didnt work out for around 2 month and then started with light exercises again. It will take you another 3-6 months to get back to pre-injury form.
>>I heard saying that risk for dislocation increase after first dislocation. So it is still safe to bench press and do all other short of work out?
Definitely true. It depends on how much your joint is fucked up. I think lifting is mostly safe and I have been bench pressing regularly for years now. You will get a feel for when your shoulder gets unstable. Also do not play serious basketball, volleyball or any of those things that require hard arm swings.
how the fuck does dumping the weight dislocate your shoulder?
i had to do it w quite a bit of weight recently and while my shoulder definitely took a slight hit it was nowhere dislocation territory.
My best friend, who is also my flatmate, is morbidly obese and has been talking about dieting.
I've been on his case about this diet non stop all week, pushing him drink water instead of soda and having him eat meat and vegetables instead of so many carbohydrates.
I found a receipt on the floor, a receipt from Mcdonalds. From the first day his diet started, two big macs, one chocolate sunday, large chips and a large coke with no ice.
I hit him up about it and the lie developed from 'I wasn't at Mcdonalds' to 'I ordered a chicken wrap, that wasn't my order' (I know what he always orders at Mcdonalds).
I feel like I should just fucking give up on him. How can he lie for an entire week about dieting.
I don't think there anything I can reasonably do to assist or help at this point. The ball seems to be in his court, it's his choice if he goes to fucking Mcdonalds.
If he really is serious about losing weight though, you should confront him about this bullshit.
The only down side is it could make things awkward later on if he just does not want to change
I am an obeese 18 year old guy, nealy 300 lbs, and I have always had a love for bicycle riding. Problem is, they tend to break under my weight, particularly on the handlebars and pedels. I would really like to get a bike that can support my weight, but being 18 and working minimum wage limits my options. Are their any good bikes under $200 thar could support a large man like me?
buy used, depending on your area you might get a decent low end mountain bike. Check http://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/
lots of listings. Any really entry level mountain bike should support your fatass unless your hucking huge jumps and drops.
>tfw have just come out of the most stressful 3 weeks of my life
in order to cope i ate pizza every other day, slept for an average of 3 hours a night, and skipped the gym
behold, the results!
Any tips on how to recover from this disaster?
Yeah. Something about being a "late bloomer" puberty-wise and still having partially growing bones.
My lifts before (O/B/S/D):
How old were you when you realized that this is the maximum body that a natty lifter can achieve? I'm 24 and I'm crying my fucking eyes out.

You guys making any gains in the creative aspects of your lives?
Any good reads you recommend for mastering a craft that got you inspired?
Got any stories of making it after learning an instrument?
>Any good reads you recommend for mastering a craft that got you inspired?
Not a musician, but I draw stuff. Still, I've read some really good books that might apply.

I'm gonna be helping a friend pack up his shit and move to a new house at the end of the week, what are some exercises i can do to slightly increase my functional strength?
Deadlifts, bench, and squats? Anything else? Farmers walk?
Too many feel threads. Lets get back to fitness.
/fit/ is it possible to maintain 8%-10% body fat consistently? Like the dude in the picture.
I'm 165lbs around 15% body fat. I can maintain 15% easily but I've never tried cutting and maintain below that.
Any health problems associated with that level of body fat? I'd like to maintain 8% body fat for 8 months, then bulk for 4 during the winter.
Former competitive rower here.
I used to have a 6-7% BF around the season. Just a matter of consistent diet.
It's doable, but the only problem can be that you're prone to catching colds, injuries, etc. Turns out your body needs a little fat and draining it for to long makes it a little weak.
I prefer to keep my body fat around 10-12 these days, anything less and start to feel bad.
Worst thing happening is when you burn muscle and everything starts to smell like ammonia........

It is possible, but I'd venture to say its not very healthy. And good luck gaining muscle doing it if you are natty.
Even with the 4 month bulk cycle if you are not natty you will not gain much muscle or strength in that amount of time
All I want is a bacon burger and fries from Shake Shack w/ pic related as dessert
This sucks fit. It's like during the week I'm fine at cutting and not going over my calories but as soon as the weekend hits it all goes to shit. This week I did really well but right now I'm just craving a burger, some fries, and red velvet cheesecake.
