why did split clean die out?
Its less efficient than the modern squat clean, so it only got used by people who weren't able to squat clean for whatever reason. And since those people basically never do well in oly comps and there's basically no reason to split clean if you're not doing oly it died out.
Very few people have the build required to make the squat jerk reliable (or even possible) and even then its an extremely unforgiving movement compared to the other jerk styles. Its less a matter of muscle flexibility and more one of joint ROM. The power jerk isn't really advantaged over the split jerk, so both stuck around.
A fair number of oly lifters don't OHP at all, so its unlikely to be that.
Anyone know who this guy is, or what his routine was?
it's actually still up for debate. while some just call him "The Brief-Builder". other have suggested his name may actually be Montgomery Snicklebottoms. what we know for sure though, is that his routine included, amongst other things, the Royal Crumpet Press an a lot of Dingery Kahuna Squats. It's still unknown what set and rep ranges we're talking about here. studies have shown that 5x20 for about 3,47 years seems to be a good guess.
simple question, I'm too sad to be happy but hope it doesn't actually hurt my physique, fuck mental health anyway, that's for fags
Daily reminder that being fit also means having endurance and good cardiovascular health.
Lifting alone doesn't make you fit you lazy meatheadfucks.
Did someone made thorough research about aspartame? What's your conclusion?
What's fit's experience with overbite? My mandible is pretty strong, it's just positioned like shit.

This is when things start to get rocky. I will preface this by saying there is no history of mental illness in my family and I have never hallucinated before.
>hear woman cackling
>get scared as shit

Pretty interesting article. It shows that "squats" are just an internet meme.
> Guys who have long legs compared to their torsos, like hockey players, would turn the back squat into a low-back exercise since their leverage is different.
The reason I hate back squats, never feels good to me
Convince me not to start with stronglifts 5x5 today
Any Ausfags here?
Interested in joining a Goodlife gym near my place, was wondering if anyone's got any experience with them.
What do /fit/ think of the 30 days squat challenge ?
Making good progress my first few months of lifting seriously, then BAM, acne on my forehead. I eat a relatively clean diet, wash my face before bed, exfoliate about twice a week, and change my pillowcase often. I am comfortable about everything else but my skin. How do you keep your skin clear /fit/? 20 yrs old btw if that matters
Try washing your face with cetaphil (not a shill; you can buy the generic). But you gotta buy the one that's formulated "for gentle skin"; it won't dry your skin up so bad after you dry off.
A witch has cursed you with having a choice of a permanent physique which you can never change, so which do you pick: T-Rex or Curlbro?
What is this?
