Whenever I try to do them it allways feels wrong.
Fuck doing them without some padding, I want my tailbone to last atleast two more years.
I get fucking sick if I've god forbid drank some water during my previous lifts.
They're too easy and I don't feel any burn (other than the acid reflux it causes) if I do them horizontaly.
It feels like my fucking back or thighs are doing all the work if I do them on an decline bench.

Strength
It's called a flush set and it promotes the flow of nutrients into the (exhausted) muscles. Can help with recovery, and will give you a sick pump if that matters to you.
Anyone gotten decent results from a drastic cut?
What can I expect from eating around 1000 calories a day? I don't mind not progressing and perhaps losing strength but i'd like to keep as much muscle as possible but I just can't into a small deficit cut. I need to go all in.

I can't say, because I've never been able to do a drastic cut for longer than a few days without failing.
If you do 2000 calories a day, do your normal lifting routine, AND do some cardio ontop of it. You will get really fucking lean, nowhere near as fast, but you'll eventually get lean, and you'll hold onto all of your strength and all the weight you do lose, will be fat.

You can do drastic cut for short periods of time, try doing a 3 day at least drastic cut, a refeed day and then a week on a less agressive cut, so you can lose fat faster without needing an insane willpower and losing the least muscle mass posible.

Hey /fit/, I'm going in tomorrow to get an inguinal hernia on my left side repaired with a mesh.
Anyone deal with this before? What's the recovery period like? How long until you really feel comfortable to lift at 100% again?
Guy I use to lift with and work with had one. Doctor told him not to lift for at least 4-6 weeks. He wasn't even allowed to go back to work (physical) for 6 weeks, was on paid leave. The work he did wasn't as intense as lifting, so yeah, IIRC he was out for several months, as he didn't want to fuck it up again.
He is back now, gains all back as well. Think of the long term, don't start lifting again so fast and fuck yourself up again and again, just isn't worth it. You can always start lifting again, muscle memory etc.

Get ready to stop training for a month. Seriously dont go back until youre absolutely sure that its healed. Always use a belt on squats and diddlies from now on, and the mesh will shrink up to the size and flexibility of a credit card after the first year. Meaning itll bother you whenever you strain your lower abs, just dont freak out when it does.
