Not OP, but why are carbs bad?
Is muh endless rice going to kill my gains?
>>36629650
it isn't that carbs are bad, it's that cutting fats is a good way to fuck yourself up

How legitimate is this clown and is it possible? He did say he was a roider.

Its legit.
But these are the types of guys that end up losing it as fast as they gained it.
Steroids but legit
I'm curious. What's /fit/izen like? What do you do besides lift, school, and work? Do you like to watch tv? play video games? Knitting? Skating?
i share my progress and make jokes with my friends on a chinese cartoon image board
Unfortunately, I read for pleasure.

What does /fit/ think of running?
I weigh 185 and go on a 30ish minute run every other day and I think it keeps me in pretty good shape
>>36624377
>get close to sub 20min 5km time
>dont run for a month
>back to a late 20s 5km time
FUCK
ill never break through this 20min barrier
Lift every other day that you're not running.
If you think you're in pretty good shape now, you'll be presently surprised.

Why do ellipticalls suck so much
I've had to use it since I've been cooped up for the winter and can't run outside
It's so horrible

How to make Chocolate Cake:
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease and flour three 6" X 1 1/2" round cake pans.
Mix together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and baking soda. Set aside.
In a large bowl, beat butter, eggs and vanilla.
Gradually add sugar.
Beat on medium to high speed for about 3-4 minutes until well mixed
Alternately combine in flour mixture and milk to batter while beating.
Continue to beat until batter is smooth.

cool, did your muscles grow by a whole half an inch?
You idiots who think your progress after a year is noticeable are retarded. Unless you were ridiculously skinny or super fat, then now you're just an average guy.
Come back in three more years, son.

How much do calories-burned per activity calculators overestimate by?
I went here https://www.healthstatus.com/calculate/cbc
Plugged in my gender, height, weight
Chose 60 minutes of running 8 miles per hour
It estimates 942 calories burned. It seems absurdly over to me since it's only 60 minutes and not exactly intense. Should I just chop off 200 cals and say I burned ~750?
>>36634632
yeah it seems bullshit to me, I'd estimate it at 750-800 cals
but keep in mind it's not a pace that easy to maintain over an hour, it means you are already in decent shape / trained
>8mph for one hour
that is already more than most casual runners are able to do
related question : what's the best way to lose as much calories as possible in 2-3 hours ?
like, obviously intense stuff requires tons of cals / min but you can't keep it up for long
other stuff like "walking" you can do it for hours, but it won't burn as much
so what's the best trade-off in-between ? I think that running is pretty good, you can can for 2 hours and probably burn around 1300 cals or so
how dangerous is it to lose weight as quickly as possible?
i weigh about 250 lbs and recently found out i have severe sleep apnea.
i read that losing weight (20lbs+) can really really help the symptoms but if i lose weight slowly at 2 lbs per week its going to take me atleast 10 weeks to do this.
is it bad if (for health reasons) i try to rapidly lose weight as fast as i can?
There's no evidence that losing weight "too fast" is dangerous or counterproductive in the long term.
On the other hand, there is a mountain of evidence that being overweight is extremely dangerous.

i thought they said that losing weight too quickly will destroy your metabolism?

How do you'll keep your minds as /fit/ as your bodies?

Read books.
Do math.
I read a wiki article a day and a book every month or so.
I have this constant feeling that i'm doing something wrong with my training,
I have been followed starting strength, and i have been increasing my weights with about 5 kg for each new set.
While i am doing allright with the deadlift/squat,
i have issues with the bench press and especially the press.
I can't get over 15kg( minus bell) with my press at the end of two weeks, and i can't help but feel that i haven't gotten stronger but merely reached a base plateu.
I eat my proteins and follow riptoes guide, but beyond protein...

What? Did you mean every workout?
This is all explained in the book and the sticky though.
Only go up 2.5 then
>>36633432
Maybe i missunderstood, but i believe it was about 10 pounds for each repetitive set,
day 1 press 5x3 with 25 kg
day 3 press 5x3 with 30 kg
etc
How can you get fit with minimal effort?
>>36633317
Steroids.
>>36633317
Kill your self desu senpai.
>>36633324
Wrong
there is no getting fit with minimal effort OP, taking the b8, you have to get your diet and training on point, adherence is the most important thing, but if that's all you do you most likely make it far unless you have above average genes
Why do I need abs? Except of good look.
I mean, you use your biceps, upper body muscles daily, legs and so on. I don't feel like I'm using my stomach muscles at all.
I want abs but cutting fuckin blows.
I wanna go back to eating as much as I want and making gains
