It's almost like lifting for girls is retarded because love is about more than looks (unless you're a whale)
Where has the king gone?
6'0" 280lbs here desperately wanting to lose weight after a long bout of depression and letting myself go. What are the best exercises I can do to target weight loss? I'm not even worried about gaining muscle right now I just need to ditch all this fat I've got. Help a clueless noob out!

Hey man I found this great guide literally tailored for people like you. Here's the link>>17018018
You're more or less my height and weigh less than I did when I started, I was 287lb and now after around one month I'm 262lb. There's no secret to it, at your weight most of the "calorie burning" exercises like running or sprinting will damage your joints so you'll have to lose weight by dieting, not with sports. Just measure your bodyfat (with a scale, dexa, calipers, doesn't really matter at this stage if it is +-5%), put your height weight bodyfat and age in a TDEE calculator...

What was /fit/ like before it fully transformed into /r9k/ 2.0?
I started here in 2011. There were more tripfags, but they were cool. People were a lot more helpful and supportive
On the other hand, there were a lot of annoying "Rate my X" threads, with X usually being "cock"
>can't decide whether I want to Squat high or low bar
Decided to step on a scale
Turns out im at 290lb now
Holy shit, I am a quite successful guy, with a great career; however, I'm putting on lbs by the month. Not sure what to do anymore, we have showers in the office, i'm willing to step up to a gym membership and finally get my weight to at least 240 by august
no one on this board gives a fuck, go to reddit if you want an army of cucks shouting how great you are for turning your life around.
Alternatively, ask an actual fucking question.
So, should I do high-bar or low bar-squats?
I'm pretty sure I've lost a cm from doing heavy squats these past 6 months. How do I regain my height?
You're stranded on an island with a water source.
