Theres a huge difference between being an asshole and not wanting to spoon feed dyels who probably arent going to make it advice. Most of /fit/ is unhelpful because its a way of testing you. If you are easily discouraged then you werent going to make it anyway so nothing was lost. But if you stay and lurk like you should you will learn all you need to know. I was wondering what sort of progress you could make if only using a barbell - no squat rack, no bench etc.
you could do deadlifts and all its variations, overhead press, push press, cleans, rows, floor press, shrugs, curls, front squats (theyd have to be high rep)
i think id do an upper lowr split like so:
Floor press, rows, curls
Deadlifts, high rep front squats
ohp, push press, rows and curls, shrugs
snatch deadlifts, cleans, lunges
what would u do without a squat rack or bench?

i think it definitely improves me, but i don't really start seeling results until a week in. Even if it's a placebo I feel like my life is slightly improved, mostly with my confidence.

Do exercises like squats and calf raises stunt growth? I'm 19 and have been lifting on and off for 4 years, my legs are still skinny because I'm sort of nervous about going too heavy and stopping myself from growing an extra inch or two before I'm in my early 20s and done growing.
No, that was my only concern. I think if anything, it most likely would help my growth because of the testosterone increase an exercise like squats bring.

well, pick some major movements and if you feel like doing more, isolate. I hit the gym twice a week and have a cardio + endurance day twice a week. When im at the gym i do Squat,bench,biceps and on the other gym day i do Diddylift,bench,biceps. try not to get too perfectionistic about this shit, pick something and do it to see how it feels
