Probably by far most cringeworthy home improvement video.

How is it cringeworthy? It's somewhat funny, but totally absurd.
Cringeworthy would be some guy with severely misaligned tiles that actually tried, using a shovel it apply thinset.
>>
>>998864
The video is a joke OP.

This. Just look at the table at the end.

What
>>
>>998893
why would you use copper pipe for load bearing?
>>
>>998994
Because retard.
>>
I always grout with my hands. It's easier
>>

>wake up in the morning
>"I really want to make a table with copper pipe"

but why? Should people like this really be aloud to have all those tools?
>>
>>998893
For the love of god, at least make the top a little bigger to hide that horrible frame.
>>
>>998893
>>
>>999053
I kind of liked it

I like his effort though!! Hahaha.

Probably spent a lot of time editing too!

But yeah, why on earth he considered PIPE to be a good idea for making a table, I will never know.

Your video isnt funny OP, you arent going to go viral by copying other youtubers
>>

Holy fuck. And the comments are all positive. What happened.

Its a nice day on 4chan
>>
>>998893
Would have looked much better with cast iron piping imo
>>
>>998893

Why are you guys hating on this one? I really like the look of copper. It's a manly metal for carrying manly things like electricity and water.
>>
>>999922
I think the copper is nice but the top came out hideous once he put the black wax on.
>>
Wow! I never thought I would get roasted on 4chan lol I made the copper table. Id never used copper before and I found a lot of examples online of other tables and I wanted to give it a go. i agree it didnt turn out great but Ive got some more copper pipe for my next project. I think this one will be much better, well it cant be any worse I guess :D
>>
More COPPER!!!
>>
>>1000602
I thought it actually looked good. Inspired me to make a copper standing lamp. thanks for the vid bud
>>
>>999266
How do you grout tile?
>>
>>1000817
Thanks! Glad to hear you have been inspired. The copper standing lamps is a great idea! :)
>>
>>999903
No it wouldn't. It would look stronger.

Don't imply it looks good.
>>
>>998893
What the shit? He's gluing the planks together without Biscuit joints?

Suppose it makes sense seeing he used copper pipe for the frame. I would imagine that thing would fall apart if you were to lean on it
>>
>>1001205
Biscuits add very little in terms of strength. They are mainly used for alignment. The long grain to long grain glue joint is more than strong enough
>>
>>1001242
>implying it was aligned

People here are way to crafty, make me feel like I missed out
>>
>>1001882
the fittings already have a ring of solder in them.
>>
>>998893
fuck me can you even make an uglier less sturdy table for that price
>>
>>1002219
Oh, neat
>>
>>998864
I haven't even read the thread, but I tabbed this like 6 days ago and it's still up and probably hasn't crashed (tbd).... I fucking love /diy/.

Fuck every other board.

Where the fuck do I even start.
>>

Tbh it had a pretty okay look to it, but just... what the fuck.... I wanted to jump into the video and give the guy a lecture on basic fucking physics.
>>
>>1000602
>>1001103
In all seriousness, why copper? There are a million reasons to use something else.

Am I just not privy to some modern fad or something?
>>
>>1002449
Didn't you hear him? He likes the ruhclaymed roostic look. Obviously that means building new furniture out of shit materials instead of properly restoring old furniture.
>>
>>1002468
I like the look of copper and I found a lot of examples of copper dining tables online. Just a quick google search shows many designs using copper pipe in the same way that I did. I had never used copper pipe before so I presumed if others had used it, it must be strong enough for the job
>>
This thread gave me confidence and improved my life overall. Thank you OP
>>
Is it time for this again?

>>
>>1003040
This thread definitely knows how to encourage others and give constructive critism.

I'll never understand why people get so much pleasure from putting others down.
>>
>>1002719
Copper pipes aren't meant for bearing loads. Just because other people do it doesn't mean it's a good idea.

>>1002468
It's got less to do with the materials and more with the way he used them.
>>
>>1002719
Threaded steel pipe is a much better choice. Rustic look, while being plenty strong enough, and cheaper. Also, never used a saw for copper. Copper pipe cutters are cheap and waste no copper, while circular saws waste 1/8" of pipe per cut.
>>
>>1000602
Hey, overall the table looks okay just top heavy as fuck and I'm not a huge fan of the black wax stuff, but all the best for next time! :)
>>
>>1004098
Thank you for wishing me the best, I do really appreciate it. I have the next video uploaded as unlisted as the moment showing my next project but I plan to release it Wednesday. I'll share it in this thread to hopefully show a small improvement using copper pipe again haha
