My girlfriend gets... quite heated in saunas. In Swedish saunas, where the temp is slowly increased until you physically can't take it, she gets absurdly aroused.
We don't really have any access whatsoever to one currently, and especially not one we could do things in/near. Is there a way to improvise that kind of environment? We already tried just running a shower and she said steam rooms don't do much for her. She's just really into heat. Even if it's not a sauna per se, anything that can kind of trigger that extreme arousal would be killer. We're kinda desperate.

My neighbors built out the in-ground hot tub which eventually became an enclosed 2-room space with the tub and a sauna.
I believe the walls were block concrete with tile over top, they had some wooden furniture in there and I know the temperature was controlled/programmed but not sure about its range.
Go to amazon and buy an oil radiator heater. Crank that puppy up. I've never been in a proper sauna but the heater will slowly warm up a room without making it feel harsh like element heaters. If it needs to be a little more humid buy a humidifier too.
Sorry my answer isn't a diy revelation but it may do. If you want diy something then maybe a wood bench for 2 that folds out from under your bed.

It is perfectly possible to build a sauna inside an apartment, even as an afterthought. Pic related is a bathroom with a small sauna at back. These tiny saunas tend to leave a lot to be desired, but they're better than nothing.
It might be that the codes of your country prevent you from building one, though.

OP, the easy answer is to go rent a room at a hotel with a sauna. If you go hit it up at 3am, you'll be fine and your girlfriend will probably like it even more since there is the risk of getting caught.

Sweat lodge. You basically build a wigwam frame from willow boughs (or PVC or whatever) over a shallow pit, cover it with army surplus blankets (this is important; the covering pretty much has to be wool), fill the pit with rocks that have been buried in a fire (never, EVER use river rocks, as those will explode) and then sprinkle water over the rocks and replace them as needed with new hot rocks.
It's dark and kind of smelly and you have to mind your ventilation but it can get really goddamn hot and it's both inexpensive and very easy to do.

The closest thing to a sauna I've experienced, was being closed in a tent in the sun.
Maybe you could find a way of giving some extra heat and humidity...
If you want to setup something in your room that produces humidity and are afraid of rotting the wooden ceiling, maybe you could do it inside a tent since they're pretty much water proof (maybe?)
go to near by campsite. pile some rocks and burn fire under untill they heat up. (dont use river rocks). put down fire -> trow away ashes/embers. cover up "sauna stove" with tent or tarp... enjoy!

Fully tiled bathrooms are the norm in many parts of the world, and they're amazing. Spray water everywhere and there's no problem.
When I was in Japan the place we stayed had a fully tiled shower/bath in a 6'x6' room and it was great. It was like a shrine to hot steamy wonderful bathing. I was staying with my brother-in-law so I wasn't going to try anything with the wife, but if we were in a hotel or something we definitely would have had some sexy fun time in the enormous shower.
