hey it's a little weird but I've made this for myself and my mom on her birthday these were my first drumsticks (she bought these when I started playing drums) and after getting on to stage few times I wanted to thank her with a gift
Now the problem is they really look like well... dicks. do you have any ideas or advices to make them not? I have many tools avaible.

When you stain it, make sure you get some lighter colored branching lines in it to break up the monotone stain color

i'd use linseed oil and turps, start 50/50 for two coats, then 60/40 for two coats; dry them for 12 hours between coats.
