What can i salvage , got 3 tvs
>>
Please please please let them sit for a while before you go salvaging. Tv's can be very very dangerous. Huge caps. Wait like a week to be extra safe
>>
>>987656
short the caps and post pics of insides
>>
>>987656
Just short them yourself to be sure, a week is nog enough for big caps, it could take months
>>

printers and scanners are epic for salvaging stuff

You can salvage the flyback transformers, high voltage ceramic or film capacitors, power/high voltage transistors, high power resistors, inductors and transformers. If you want to go gypsy mode, salvage the copper coils too, they might be glued together tho.
Pic related, overdriven flyback

This, just short them with a screwdriver, most of the times they have a bleeding resistor, it's not like DC voltage will do you any harm unless it's 300+ volts, then it'll leave some nasty burns.

Printers are god-tier, I have already 3/4 of a 3d printer parts thanks to them.
>tfw finding a NEMA stepper motor in a printer and not a pansy DC motor with optical feedback, plus those guide rods...

that guy
dude
that guy
I'm close to literally rofl

>the first one here is 120V AC which is very dangerous
>I accidentally touched it and it hurt a lot and it can kill and I'm not doing it again
>let me measure the voltage
touches the circuit
>MY GOD

I'm gonna remember that lesson

also quads checked
