Does it matter what buttons and switches i use with it?
As in can i use any rocker toggle switch i want regardless of Amper or Vatt?

Yes, the rating just means what it can handle, not what it has to handle. The power you're dealing with here is low enough that just about anything will work.

Took a look at some 60s fighter cockpit button boxes, now that's some horrific shit.

Its not going to be that realistic box, just a design that works best for all the sims I play. Truck, space and flightsims.
