Sure it is, because the only danger of a pallet is what its made out of.
Not what it has hauled, where it was stored, or what it was moved with.

Nothing can contaminate a pallet, even though the vast majority of other pallets are dangerous and in close proximity to them

The only thing I've ever used wood from a pallet from is pic related.

first task i think will actually be to make some tables and shelves for the garage. then i want to cover a wall with it like paneling

it's also the same chemicals that are sprayed on every crop you eat.

What the fuck? I swear, the Pallet Industrial Complex is in on this shit or something.

PROTIP: DONT EAT PALLETS

There, it's done. All of you shut the fuck up. If someone's dumb enough to sleep on a pallet bed frame that's soaked with chlorine, mentholybestocyanide, or any other shit you list, they deserve to die anyways. I made a fucking door. Some guy made a chicken cook outside. If this was as serious a problem as you say, I would have been dead long, long ago. I've handled thousands upon thousands of PALLETS bare handed from more sources then you could dream of. I breaker them down, reuse them for shipping, or store them in our warehouse. I'm more concerned about my smoking, eating habits, stress levels, work hours, shitty old house, and every other unhealthy thing lower middle class people go through in their lifetime. The chemicals soaked into my skin while I work on industrial equipment far exceed the hazards of PALLETS. Anyone with a blue collar job knows this same feeling. Your constant warnings are an insult to those of us who have actual hazardous jobs, or jobs at all, unlike you.
>>
I found these really pretty blue pallets and built a baby changing station

>Hey /diy/ what have you made with pallets recently?

Doghouse. 1x1x1 pallets with 4 pallets to make a gable roof and front porch that has a pallet deck. Insulated and lined with plywood. There's a shelf inside for cats to lay on and the attic space is also for cats, the dogs reside in the bottom floor. Pretty cozy actually. It still need the outside finish, there's just plastic sheet of roof tread stuff on the outside so far. Needs metal roofing and vinyl siding still.

>>972000

Pray tell, what virus survives in wood for, oh, 3 weeks?
>>
>>975980
HIV. Ebola. MRSA. H5N1.

It's all information that is readily available if you look.
>>
>>976003

>HIV

Wrong. At most it survives up to 4 weeks outside of a host but only in a syringe.

Abdala N et al. Survival of HIV-1 in syringes. J Acquir Immune Defic Syndr Hum Retrovirol 20(1):73-80, 1999

>Ebola

Wrong.

"Ebola is killed with hospital-grade disinfectants (such as household bleach). Ebola on dry surfaces, such as doorknobs and countertops, can survive for several hours; however, virus in body fluids (such as blood) can survive up to several days at room temperature."

-CDC

>MRSA

Inconclusive but plausible on certain surfaces under very, very specific conditions. Use diluted Dettol (the shit they use to clean slaughterhouses) if you're THAT concerned.

>H5N1

Again, plausible but only under very, very specific conditions like, say, wet shit that is continuously kept wet for, oh, 40 days. If you let it dry out, it loses stability after a day.

Shortridge KF, Zhou NN, Guan Y, Gao P, Ito T, Kawaoka Y, et al. Characterization of avian H5N1 influenza viruses from poultry in Hong Kong. Virology. 1998;252:331-42.

You must really enjoy scrubbing down pallet wood.
>>
Fences and fence repairs. Drive a post through it into ground and nail some fiberglass scrap onto it, the more rusty half driven in nails in it the better in my opinion. If only I could find some mersa-hiv, bromide methyl whatever contaminated pallets the better. If I could soak them in mercury and gasoline and somehow make them self igniting if touched I would.

Love how the majority of pallet projects posted on DIY are just pallets.
>pallets stack up = a bed
>pallets stack up = decking
>pallets on their side = chicken coop
>pallets stacked up = planter.

You do know you can take them apart, sand them down and build something with them that doesn't look like a pallet.

Try building a tool chest op.

You are the type of retard who pulls down asbestos ducting or chips off lead paint without a respirator to not look like a "pussy"

Coincidentally those types are also the poorest, and least educated of people. But im not surprised, you are trying to convince people that shouldnt spend 10$ on cheap wood at the hardware store. Its much cheaper to just steal from the store, who cares if its the worst wood possible and that its potentially harmful. Pussies!

You do realize that's literally how you gain resistances right? And why animals don't get sick and die when they drink it?
>>
>>978963
They do get contaminated and die. The prime example is the maned wolf that has to eat poisonous apples to kill worms in it's kidney.
And parasites have specific vectors and specific hosts. You people never went to school? This is literally things you teach toddlers here so they don't die.
