I've got a 12 volt LED Floodlight ive had on my 4x4, have since taken it off - what do i need to install it to a 240v circuit. ie have it on a switch shining on my backyard.

You need a step down transformer/DC converter. You could probably find a laptop/bombox/battery charger power box from old electronic equipmentand rig it up, but why? You can purchase LED floods with all that built(with motion sensor!) in for like $40. Also, you need a surface mounted junction box if there isn't one there, and make sure to seal the space between it and the house with some silicone or weather stripping.
Connect it to a 240V->12V transformer. And add a switch to turn it on and off.

Dont really need one with a motion sensor on it. Already have this one just laying around thought i may as well use it.
