So there's a recipe out there to make your own water based lube:
1 Part Xanthan Gum
6 Parts Vegetable
18 parts Water
It's pretty decent, I made a batch myself using 1/2 a teaspoon of Xanthan Gum in this little bottle. I did tweak the recipe a bit by adding more water because it was originally on the sticky side, unfortunately I didn't measure how much more I added. Has any body else done this? What changes did you make?

Switch the oil for glycol and it's actually water based.
I tried it, but unless you need huge amounts, just buy it.
It's also absorbed petty quickly, so don't use it for extended sessions or relube ever so often. Also it can spoil, so add a little preservative, no pun intended.
We ended up covering each other in that stuff because there was so much of it. Go for that if it's your thing.
