Hey guys, can someone tell me what this is, it's looks like some kind of clutch, but hooking it to a 24V supply did nothing.

I think it is a brake, used for when a motor and shaft pull something up, but then it needs to stay up, against gravity (or any direction against another force).

Thanks a lot guys, I think that's what it is, some kind of brake/clutch, also hooking it to a power supply made the two pieces stick together using a magnetic field so they can rotate together.
