Cheap shit that actually turned out to be good or exceeded your expectations thread.

Can output around 0.8A each, but you can also hook them up in parallel really easily.
3 of these charges my battery at 2.5A

And this 3w+3w amp.

Amazing sound quality. 36c each.

Only issue is a buzzing sound when the power supply doesn't have sufficient ripple suppresion.
Easy fix.
>>
Do those allow you to charge batteries while they're being used?

I'm planning on using an Adafruit Powerboost 1000C for a project, but if I could save a bit using one of those and a buck/boost module, I'm all for it.
>>
>>952438
Yes, I used them for my speakers and I can use the speakers while it's charging, so I'd assume yes.
>>
>>952426
6W! is your heatsink runnnnnning?
>>
>>952412
what are the numbers on the chips?
i need a datasheet
>>
>>952470
lol right
its probably some bullshit that is untracable
>>
>>952476
yea theres alot of counterfiet shit out there,
but i can usually find one.

I want to hook one of these up to an old walkman. If the walkman is not in use will you hear something/distortion in the speaker?
>>
>>952490
It depends, I have no idea.
I only got a buzzing sound that I managed to remove completely thanks to the help of an anon here.
Inductor+capacitor= no more buzzing.

Try getting one and trying it? It's only a dollar for one.
>>
>>952478
are you saying you can usually find a datasheet even for counterfit chips?
>>
>>952514
Isn't it usually the same as the original?
>>
>>952517
that's implying you know what the original is

I have a flashlight labeled "hwa ultrafire", the driver chip has two sets of numbers and none of them turn up any results
>>
>>952525
I've had that happen.
Extremely annoying.

But for >>952470 the datasheet was a quick google search away.
>>
>>952528
nice
something else thats annoying is I have an opamp or a 5v regulator or some shit I pulled out of an old car charger, the glue ripped a part of the top half of the chip off.
it is a ti chip, and I had chip for a while, I could place it back where it came from and get the numbers and find the datasheet. I was wanting to use it in something.. but I lost the peice that had the part of the chip number. I know these chips are cheap but I'm the kind of person that if I have something sitting around and I get and idea Ill build it but if I have an idea and I don't have the chips Ill sit around and think about ordering it for years. (real years).
I cant recall what it was but I was going to do something in particular with this thing

>paid 15 dollars for three of the wrong board
you know you can buy a 5A CC/CV board for less than 3 dollars?
>>
>>952426
OP, I don't know if you're still here, but I just bought this.
I've been needing one of these and didn't want to do smt.
I love you OP.
>>
>>952412
hey op, how are you charging with three of these? 3 usb connections to 3 of these guys in parallel to the battery?
>>
>>953005
Not OP, probably a phone charger

Op here.
Glad I could help out.

>>953005
The in+ and in- are connected to the micro usb.
Wire the in+ and - up in parallel, plug one into my 2A phone charger, all 3 start charging from one cable.

Will send a picture of a charger I made when I get home.

This is an 18650 charger I made using an old 5v wallwart I found.

The positive is connected to one end, the negative to the other tp4056 at the other end.
That's one way of wiring them up in parallel.

What I did for my speaker though was to wire 3 of them up to a pack of 4 18650s soldered in parallel. So instead of feeding into 3 seperate batteries, the 3 chargers feed into one battery pack.

Will try to draw something up for that since my speaker isn't here right now. Gave it to my sister.

Sorry for the shit drawing.

When you connect the inputs on the 2 boards and then plug a micro usb into one, they will both receive power and charge the battery at full speed each.
By connecting 2 to the battery you're doubling the current(rate of charge).

You only need one micro usb to be connected for both to be active.

Out of fear of confusing you, i just wired it up. Probably might have been best to just do this in the first place.

As you can see, one micro usb cable, 2 tp4056 modules.

And heres one with flash so you can see a little clearer.
>>
>>953217
>>953218
ok, first of all even though both of those have 5v, they might not have enough current to do anything.
You DO know that you cant just string together dozens of those right?

2, not only does that look like shit, it is a huge chance that it is going to short out.

3 the wires WILL brake off of that if you dont secure the boards somehow.
>>
>they might not have enough current
They most definitely do.

>you do know you can't just string together dozens of these
Did I ever say you can?

>not only does it look like shit
It's a sample I wired up for another anon.

>a huge chance that it is hoing to short out
How?

>the wires will break off if you don't secure the boards
IT'S A FUCKING SAMPLE.

Read the post before replying to the image you twat.

I was fairly intoxicated when I replied to that, allow me to clarify.

>they might not have enough current
>They most definitely do.
*Depending on what someone might want to do. For a small project then this would of course work, But don't let people think they can cut the end of a 5v 2a cell phone charger, and then put 20 of these on there, and actually charge 20 phones effectively.
inb4 some trickle charge fag argues with me.

>you do know you can't just string together dozens of these
>Did I ever say you can?
I dont know, you bought 10 of the damn things.

>not only does it look like shit
>It's a sample I wired up for another anon.
ok.

>a huge chance that it is hoing to short out
>How?
The second one just kind of sitting there flapping in the wind. I you had intended to use this as a final product, then it is liable to bend back up and contact the first board.

>the wires will break off if you don't secure the boards
>IT'S A FUCKING SAMPLE.
You should avoid spazzing out and repeating yourself in the same message.

>Read the post before replying to the image you twat.
tldr
>>
>>954089
I bought 20 and got 30 actually. I love ebay.

I use these for various projects,if youd read my posts you would have realised.

Can't be fucked arguing over diy, this is my favourite noard because so far everyone here has been so helpful and friendly, pretty much the opposite of every other board I frequent.
>>
>>954109
I wasnt arguing, I was just trying to pass on some useful info.

>So far this is my favorite board
Are you new here?
/diy/ is full of some serious hate sometimes. allot of people here think they know more than everyone else and are just cruising threads looking for someone to call out.
>>
>>954113
Somewhat new.
Been coming here a few times a week for a few weeks.
Mostly frequent int and g.
>>
>>954117
>Mostly frequent int and g.
>g
Sorry to hear that.
Yea, then in that case I'd have to agree that everyone here is smart and helpful.
