Found a question on homedepot about a 4x8 sheet, and one person said 15x15 inches, another said 20x20 inches.

exactly.
if the sheet is 4x8 and you roll it up, there is no way in hell it is going to be more than 8 inches in both directions.
if you roll it width wise, the length will always be 8.
if you roll it width wise, the length will always be 4.
