>>
You're wall/floor is rotting out under your window because the window was probably not installed properly (no flashing?). As to how you didnt notice water pissing all over your floor to this point, I have no idea, you degenerate.
>>
>>949093
OP has probably been pissing against that wall for years. Pissing in bottles is too much effort.

Your wall next to the bed is leaking, as evident the rotten edges along the wall but dry interior, but the wood is kill, you will have to tear the wood out any way

I know I've seen some videos and guides on replacing rotted RV flooring. Youtube videos, rv.net forum, elsewhere. I know RV'ers have stressed the importance of using the right caulk or sealant for the job.

That looks like a nice motorhome, good size too. I think you can successfully repair this. Got any more pics?

Rear, half.

Runs like a dream too. She's just a old cranky girl.

Nice. you've got a wet bath in there too? Gas or diesel? Do you live in it full time? That could complicate repair. Will probably have to do some detective work to find the water leak source.

I don't know what type of replacement flooring would be best here (regular plywood, pressure treated, marine grade) and maybe I'd call the manufacturer if they're still in business to confirm the best exterior sealant to use; assuming that's the cause of the water leak.

Wet bath, hot water tank kill, but that was known from the outset. And yes I live in it full time. Also gas.

Don't even have user manual :(

Shit, it's the insulation plastic, isn't it. Window has crack.
>>
>>949119
Dessicant needs to be in a porous bag, that isn't going to soak up shit through plastic

Took a sewing needle, and poked a gazillion holes in them.

Panic expedient.

now that there looks like a situation that needs some handling if I ever saw it, friend.

Op. When you replace the plywood. If you can use marine grade ply. If it gets wet it wont do what the shit you have there did. Id say during your driest months. Goahead and air out everything. Remove everything fabric... This also includes carpet. And open all windows and doors put a few fans inside too. Then give all your common "wet areas" a good spritz of 25/75 bleach/water. Wood rots between 25% and 75% moisture. So unless you plan on keeping it wet all the time. Your best bet is to keep it dry. Get a wood moisture tester from ebay. To check all your wood parts to make sure they aren't a breeding ground for rot and so you can fix the issue then not after its too far gone..

Wonder if this is aluminum skin over a wood frame? Would be a good idea to remove wall panels in the affected area to check for rot too. If there is some, what's a good repair? Use wood hardener on affected studs and sister in new ones if necessary? If they're 2x4 studs maybe you could use metal 2x4 framing studs as replacement or supplement.

I'd want to remove the wall panels, then run garden hose or something outside and check for water ingress inside. If the walls are insulated might need to replace some of it. Watch for mold.
>>
I just noticed, the leak area is in the section over the truck cab right? Pretty sure I've read of the windows in that area giving people trouble; some even remove the window entiely and replace with aluminum/fiberglass. Might be a roof seam line in that area too. That would floor looks to be a subfloor and there's an aluminum floor just underneath?

Chill out bro, install Gentoo and everything will be fine

Fellow rv owner here. You're in for a ton of work if you intend on keeping this money pit. I've got a 27' Breaking Bad model. Shit is starting to go south on me too.

> Soft floor due to hot water tank leak.
> Would require taking out entire kitchen and replacing plywood floor
> Generator needs a couple whacks on the starter solenoid to fire up
> New leak somewhere over the cockpit
> Gas tank rusting and clogging fuel filters
> Carb is gummed up again needing a rebuild
> Alternator keeps going out
> Overheats on grades in the summer - The curse of the 454
> Needs new coach and chassis batteries again

Now I don't live in mine, it's strictly for recreation. It's done it's job. Mutliple trips to Burning Man, many more trips with the kids to the lakes and shit. There comes a time in every rv owners life where they have to weigh the benefits of fixing up somethinig that needs constant maintenance or just walking away before more problems crop up. For me it's time to let the barge go and look for something smaller since the kids are grown and on their own. We haven't even bothered to take it out the last couple of years because of the expense of getting it road worthy are too high for weekend trips. The cost to fix all the problems is damn near what we could buy a A frame trailer that suits us better at this point.

Oh, and you'll be much happier if you stow your shit and keep it clean. A friend has a young gay couple living in a travel trailer in the driveway while they finish school. They keep their ship tight and it looks great and feels comfy. Painted cabinets, updated drapes and shit.
