Any diy methods for tattoo removal?

Got this when I was 20 and I ironically was in a K hole. I didn't choose it
>>
In Russian prisons a snitches tattoos are removed as punishment by filing magnesium into a fine powder, then bandage the magnesium powder over the tattoo.
This dissolves the skin and the tattoo with it.
>>
I find it funny this is right next to the /diy/ tattoo thread.

"I'll never regret MY tattoo!"
>>
>>938165
What uh.. What is that supposed to be? Either way it doesn't really look blown out so it should be a pretty easy cover up. Most removal methods require it to be pretty fresh as far as I know.
>>
>>938171
I can't find anything by googling. Can you post a link

Don't be an idiot that's a perfect canditat for cover up, just go to a decent tatoo artist

Cheese grater.

>>938165
D/A sander with 40 grit paper, angle grinder, drill with a wire brush.

propane torch would probably be the least likely to end in a terrible infection.
>>
>>938165
dude ketamine will fuck you up been there done that, Try just tattooing over it, or burning it off. You'll have to destroy the skin the ink is embedded in to remove it. OR just cover it with some sick art.
>>
>>938190
>Let me Google that for you
Kek
>>
why not go to a tattoo cover up specialist and get a new one over that?
>>
>>938165
Never tried it, but I've heard several people say a mixture of lemon juice and salt rubbed onto the tattoo over a period of time will make it fade. Not sure if it can remove it completely, not even sure of the validity of the claim, but it is worth a shot.

Worst case: you have a lemony fresh tattoo that you hate instead of an unscented tattoo that you hate.
>>
>>938425
This will literally not work

>>938165
Tattoos are made of large and small ink particles embedded under the skin. Your lymphatic system will take away any small particles, but the large ones are left. Laser tattoo removal works by breaking up the large particles so that the lymph system can take the ink away.

Short of actually removing the dyed flesh this is your only option.

Well drawn, deliberate tattoos have become passé and shameful. You have something more honest.

Keep it real OP, it's who you were then and probably are now.

Why not stay one step ahead and have something misspelt added underneath?

Ok so apparently it's extremely easy to buy lidocaine.

I was thinking injecting some under the skin and heating up a piece of metal with my torch.

Besides obviously not injecting it into your vein, I don't think you can inject too much. I mean if you are not a moron, inject then check how sensitive, wait then do it again. Pretty easy right?
>>
>>938244
I know. I got some from a veterinarian the time I got this tattoo kek. I dont fuck around with k anymore, I would wind up too fucked up and my family started to find out

I swear I'm not actually Catholic lol. My "friends" thought it would but funny I guess but they were also on drugs but not ketamine.
>>

become a catholic? or have a laughing pope's face under this tat? mysterious ways OP!

That's not a terrible idea

Acid?
>>
I swear to god I've seen that tattoo before, where you in some like shitty band or something? Maybe came in to get an amp or guitar serviced in the last year or so? Or is there some shitty guy with a needle just handing there hepatitis/aids brands on some street corner and you happened to get the same one?
>>
rub it with the rough side of a sponge every time you shower/bathe and it'll be completely gone in a year or two. Same reason palm tattoos have to redone regularly or they eventually fade to nothing
>>
>>938984
plus it looks like it wasn't done deep enough anyway so it won't even take that long. failing that cover it with a huge scar like everyone else will suggest
>>
OP find a place that does laser cleaning. They use high-power lasers that are harmless to skin but will vaporize things that are very light-absorbent (aka dark).

Here's a guy using them to remove rust and putting his own hand into the line of fire to demonstrate it's harmless to skin:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NSBGVhzGVxY

Here's it being used for tattoo removal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i14CDCBflc0

Alternatively, don't be a dumb shit and burn off your skin with acid, just get a proper fucking tattoo removal. This is what happens when people use DIY methods involving acid on their skin: http://mydeathspace.com/vb/showthread.php?28324-NSFW-Pics-Woman-Burns-Entire-Nose-Off-Using-Black-Salve-to-Cure-Her-Skin-Cancer

>heating up a piece of metal to burn off the tattoo
this is begging for a horrible infection, just use the torch on the skin.
>>
>>938165
That's a surprisingly decent idea(execution not so much) for someone in a K-Hole.

Lidocaine HCl is a salt mate, not just a bunch of free lidocaine base floating around in free hydrochloric acid

It is honestly not a bad idea for a tattoo at all but holy shit is the quality bad. Wow.
I hope there is at least sentiment behind it.

Also the symbol of the late-Roman Empire after they adopted Christianity in the 300s.

The East India Company logo you are thinking of is actually fake and was made up for the movie, the real one looked more like the flag of the USA without the stars

>magnesium into a fine powder
manganese, dumbass.

there is also a less traumatizing(in the long run) method: drip some molten UTILITY SOAP on the tattoo. it is highly alkaline so it will go through the skin but live a less prominent scar than manganese.
>>
A lot of people here give retarded advice. Forget about DIY methods for removing it. I can't believe people really think about burning their skin off or pouring acid over their skin. And do not think burning it off will be less likely to end up infected. If morons who try this are really successful, you have a pretty big skin defect. that is very likely to get infected. Why do you think you often need a skin graft to cover bigger lesions of your skin, for example after an open fracture?

In the end, there are only cover ups by another tattoo guy or removing it by an expert. DIY has no place here, seriously.
>>
Turn it into a swastika.

It's actually not that bad of a representation...where is it on your body? If it's not in an obvious spot I would say just keep it

It makes for an interesting story should someone comment on it, great for an ice breaker or conversation starter

>'s actually not that bad of a representation..
I dunno, putting the pi in place of the alpha is...well, pretty damn blasphemous.
>>
>>938165
That's chi rho it's a catholic symbol

You should keep it though it's pretty based
>>
>>941481
>a catholic symbol
It's actually pretty much all Christianity (literal catholic, not Catholic).

Chi Rho are the first two letters of Christ in Greek. Alpha and Omega are from the "I am the alpha and omega, the beginning and end" or however that bit from the NT went.

>>

Pretty much
>>
Well apparently I'm the only one here whose actually removed one at home.
Ok I tried using the lemon juice thing injecting it under the skin w/ a tattoo gun. Nothing. Perhaps with repeated use it might have worked but I gave up after the first try.
Next was an old prison tattoo removal method. Salt and a gauze pad.
This worked but not 100%.
Basically you give yourself like a rug burn by dampening a gauze pad (use sterilized water) then dabbing it in the salt. Rub until you've taken the top layer of skin off. Cover it with salt and leave it bandaged for a while (sorry can't rember how long). Then let air dry and heal like normal.
Some things to note. The whole area is going to swell quite a bit for a few hours. I probably had an 18 inch bicep for a while.
When the scab dries it's going to be very thick and very hard. If you don't want a really ugly scar, It's got to heal completely before and come off on it's own. The larger the area you're doing the harder it's going to be to keep it from tearing off prematurely. You may have to take a good scissor and trim the edges of the scab as it starts to lift so it doesn't get caught on anything and tear the whole thing off.
If it's larger it's way better to do several one inch patches than to do it all at once or you'll have a problem with the scab ripping off prematurely.
There will still be spots where the ink will be too deep to get it all, especially with homemade tattoos where the ink was applied at such different depths.
There will be scarring about like a well taken skin graph. (Don't ask how I know that's a whole other story.)
Of course try to keep everything as clean as possible.
All that being said a good cover-up is probably a way easier alternative.

>>941548
Yeah probably.

Back in college, my dad just took a knife to a fist sized tatt he had on his forearm. Got half of it before realizing how stupid of an idea it was....
Least the resulting scar tissue sorta covers the rest of it...
