Hey /diy/

I wanted to make something like the tesla radiant energy patent for a school project.
>pic related

Has anyone ever tried it? Is it worth it? What materials did you use for the plates and how high was the voltage?

Any help is appreciated
>>
Do the plates need to be isolated?

yes, I advice you to follow the design.

otherwise just bake a cake, and say you losely interpreted the patent of tesla.

What meterial should i use for the plates, would it be possible to use aluminum foil?
>>

Aluminium foil is likely a good material for this. Copper plates would be more effective but also more costly.
>>
I build one once from aluminium foil, a capacitor and a switch.
The capacitor did charge up, but i never figured out why
