Good evening /diy/. It's my second time i'm here. Long story short, i've become really into diy recently. Yeah, i soldiered some wires but it makes me wanna puke when i have to go get that propably older than me soldering tool coz it's broken AF. I want to buy some must have equipment (wires, gun etc.) and spend less than 40 bucks. I was thinking about aliexpress thus im a patient guy. What are your thoughts?

Thanks for the list! I did some checking and cleaning in my garage. Could You recommend me some soldering station up to 20€ or should i save for something more expensive? If so what's the min. price? What should i look for?

let's talk about your picture. how successful have you been frying potatoes with electricity?

Depends on how much you want to do. If you do a couple projects a year, any old cheap soldering iron is probably fine. If you're more serious about /diy/ stuff, I'd recommend a Weller WTCPT as a pretty good, near indestructible soldering iron.

It's rude to call them potatoes. They're technically living human beings.

120$ is way too much. I find this an interesting option http://m.aliexpress.com/item/524720490.html?adminSeq=201067482&productId=524720490&productId=524720490&shopNumber=209668&productSubject=free-shipping-ESD-safe-220V-HAKKO-936-Soldering-Station-907-soldering-handle-A1321-heating-element-HAKKO936&detailNewVersion=2&tracelog=wwwdetail2mobilesitedetail
I just want to do something from time to time.

Soldering guns are for when you want to break it or catch it on fire. Get a regular iron.
