The mic off my headset broke completely and it's destroyed. How do I make a decent homemade one? Plugging my headset speaker into the mic slot and shouting is not a good option either.

>How do I make a decent homemade one?
get a new mic, tape it to the headset, plug it in, done, use like normal
>>
>>905754
yeah but that requires going to a store or spending a shitload of money online, I'd rather just use a shitty one I can make with crap lying around the house
>>
>>905757
you can buy a shitty one for $5 online
>>
>>905743
so the mic is actually working, it's just the connection/frame that's broken?
>>
>>905761
I don't know, I haven't taken it apart. The whole headset cost like $30 at Worst Buy so I'm not really upset. If you want I could take a look and let you know what I find

>with crap lying around the house

i dont suppose you have semiconductor material s, piezo buzzer elements, or microtransitors and resistors lying around
>>
>>905767
if you have any of these thing "lying around" then you should know how to put it together

the mic winds up inside like pic related, I think a connection broke in there.
Would it be easy to fix? I have a few inches of solder and a zippo to work with
>>
>>905769
although you can probably make a mic using a straw, string, copper wire, washers, and a 9v battery. It would have to be mounted on your desk without moving and probably would need another computer to translate the sound to code compatible with your Macbook Pro
>>
>>905775
show a pic of the damage there is no way to know what to do if we don't know whats damaged
>>
>>905775
ok, you'll probably be able to fix it since it seems like a problem due to mechanical wear (constant bending etc.), but the fix will be temporary because it's a shit design in the first place that's bound to brake again and again
>>
>>905779
it's all internal. Take apart?
>>
>>905782
of course
