I was wondering if it was possible to edit this pull mechanism to change it to the lever-action, from below. What would be the best approach to such thing?
>>
>>904002
Does that nerf gun have a knuckle duster on it? So hardcore.
>>
>>904002
possible? yes

is it worth it? no

how - put rails along the body, two long pieces connect the pull to the pump action which is cut off and connected to the rail
>>
>>904034
OP specified lever-action not pump...

OP what's your fabrication skills, my first instinct is a rack and pinion solution. Basically half a cogwheel on the internal side of the lever connecting to a toothed side on the pull.

The ergonomics of that don't seem great to me anon.

This could be a pretty interesting hack, watching this thread

My skills are almost zero-tier. That's why I'm writing here.
>>904079
Maybe, but Winchester-like weapon is quite suitable for a larp that I'm planning to make. Revolver is a bit worse, but still a choice, though.

I guess something like this would work.
>>
>>904002
Can you measure how much travel that pull needs? Also, check some disassembly guide and try to give us some picture of the internals.

i would do something like this
>>
>>904761
And that wouldn't work, not like you're picturing it anyway. Not even close, think about it, when you use that lever the pull will want to bend. This could be sorted with a longer slot on the pull-side of the lever but you're getting very little pull-movement for your efforts...

you're right

what if you take something like a wheel at the bigger circle?

I'm this guy, this is your best bet imho, or something like it. but is that really the right gun to start from?

I don't understand why everyone is trying to push the spring out when you could just pull it out with a simple pulley.

Its been designed to pulled out to load it, so just make that process mechanical.
>>
>>904794
Because there is nothing to anchor the pulley to.that would give the gun a full draw.
>>
>>904810
Use two connected pulleys with different radii.

You'd think no-one did simple machines anymore.

>>
>>904810
Any mod OP decides to undertake would result in the gun stock having to be replaced.
>>
>>904819
No, dude. The problem is you based your assumptions off a drawing you made up that is not accurate to the existing toy. The end of the gun isn't that far away from the barrel. The plunger wants like 3.5" of travel and the end of the gun is only 1" away.

Even if you cut handle off the plunger I don't think you would have enough travel to the end of where you could mount the pulley on the gun. The radius doesn't matter unless you move the axis of the pulley back 2". The force applied to the bolt would still decrease as the angle to the pulley approached 90 degrees because the pulley just isn't far enough back.
>>
>>904848
Just rebuild the handle to accommodate a pulley.
>>
You can pull "piston" out for about 4,5cm.
I cannot deconstruct/change barrel in any way, nor can I connect anything to the piston, beside the outside, gray part.
>>
>>905342
Bollocks can't you. The back just unscrews, and there's practically nothing in the space behind the piston.

Absolutely you could run a cable to the back of the piston, or even replace the entire rod with your own contraption. All the rod does is hold the piston square to the cylinder and pull it back. It's got nothing to do with the trigger.
>>
>>905357
maybe he could, but he cant
because he isn't allowed? its not his? i dont know
>>
>>904788
I like this idea. You can even mount it externally.
>>
>>905366
More like I did not understand it enough and I thought you wanted me to cut apart a barrel, not the spring mechanism, my bad xD
