Sup /diy/?
>What is /diy/ up to this weekend?
>What are you making, what are you prepping for?
For me, my list is as follows:
Just got the Sherwin Williams whiteboard kit. Im going to take my main office wall and turn it into a whiteboard. Since SW paint for this is clear, I have to paint it white before hand. Idea Paint is $200 a quart, this is $50 a quart. Given I need to prepaint the wall, im in this for $80.
I'm also going to seed start this weekend for my first garden. Next weekend I build all of the boxes. But I'll have a thread for that next weekend.
>pic related, first coat
Uhh, how much is a standard whiteboard? What do you need a whiteboard that size for in what I'm assuming is your home?
And why is it so expensive?
Starting a bathroom remodel soon, can't commit myself to starting the teardown, as I have no experience in tiling. Is this something I can pick up on quickly? I'm tiling the floor and shower, and removing tile from walls to paint. Will probably do a 4 inch tile border around base. Which do I need to do first, shower tile or floor?
What do I use as a border for the shower tile?
Is there a certain paint I need to use in wet areas?
How likely is it that I can tear the old tile off the wall, sand then paint? Or will I need to replace drywall or whatever it is?

No prob. I do accounting for a living, and I am considering grad school or going to for the CPA for my 2nd time. Whatever path I go, I need the whiteboard for notes. I used to take painters tape and tape notes to my walls in school to help study. This is to visually layout chunks of info. The fine detials cant fit on the board, but at least I can draw out some rules and regs to understand it easier.

That..... looks awesome.
Im jelly. I wish I knew how to weld. That is an impressive skill.
Here is the seeds I talked about last night.
1/2
Here is 2/2, more of the warmer plants. Under lights and on a heat map. The last rost should be 5/13 where I am.
I'm building a dust collector for my concrete polishing business that I'm starting.
I made it out of 55 gallon drums, the drum with the motors has 8 hepa filters. The motors pull air through 2 small cyclones and those cyclones pull air through the larger black one on the top right.
Any sugestions for paint? I want it to look professional.

I feel like unpainted and polished would be pretty professional. Of course you're gonna want to apply something to it if that's not stainless.

Thanks bro, its not stainless just regular angle iron. Was wanting to paint it to hide my crappy welds lol.
