If I buy these two items would I be able to install the new lock from Medeco into the Shlang knob?
Can't see the type of Tail that Knobset uses.. Australia locksmith here and we have different names and shit for most of that stuff sadly.
Best option is to buy that cylinder you want and Go to a locksmith and tell him you want a polished brass knob set with that cylinder

Sounds like a yes. You may have to specify which lockset you are adapting when purchasing the XT cylinder.
Or it could just come with multiple adapters for different sets.
