I am ending my own arcade machine, but I have a little problem of how to fix the command control. I was thinking to avoid buying the small controller (photo) and make one for myself and figure out how to connect / solder a keyboard or joystick under control, where the lever and buttons are.

For best results use an FPGA. If you have no idea what an FPGA is, don't use an FPGA.

So computers today have fuckloads of processing power, even a goddamn raspberry pi ought to be able to emulate damn near any old arcade machine.

For your controller, the first thing I think of would be to use an arduino to make a USB human input device to convert button presses into something the computer can use.

Raspberry Pi has GPIO pins that you can access via library, so you wouldn't even need to introduce a separate microcontroller into things.
