NEED ADVICE ... so, belkin has a product that you connect your shit that usually stays on (speakers, modem, home stereo etc) to it and when you leave or want to you flip the switch and they are off. Good idea for conserving power in your house. My problem is that this unit works in 110v and my shitty country has current in 220v... any ideas?
It's a switchable power strip which is nothing special. Ask at your local hardware store or shop online.
Search "european 220 volt power strip". I just did and got plenty of hits.
Be glad you have 220, and if you also have three-phase be extra happy. Legacy US low voltage is a hangover from early post-and-bead wiring systems.

- is maybe more what hes looking for - eg, switch off the TV? rest standby devices switch off automatically, also, usually one socket for permanent power. That (link) is Belkin (as suggested), but, theres millions of them search 'standby power saver extension strip' or something.

>belkin
>cheap chinese shit
>muh lifetime warranty
these things are terrible desu.
they can randomly misjudge a sudden drop in power usage as a standby state and shut off the device. for example pausing a game on a console or tv show set top box will shut it off.

It would be so cool if someone maked a special key that is controlled by remote !!! or app. really good idea.

First off, the power bar in the OP is not an auto energy saving one. Its a remote controlled one.
Second off, any decent automated power bar that does measure voltage to turn off will have a threshold adjustment.
I actually own one of each and both have their uses.

please powersavingfag elaborate, I wish one controlled by remote.

think that one does everything (Remote & Powersaver) - dunno which 220v country you in (thats Bongoversion) but seaarch 'remote power extension' or something, you get them (remote only) for about a third of that prie, or $0.99c plus postage from Ali & Co. Prob $0.99c with free postage actually, I never figured out, how the fuck that works either.
But anyway, show some initiative, you useless lazy fuck. Like above poster, also have both, and would agree, a 'standby poer saver' is not going to switch off because you 'paused a game on the console' (troll,or retard), but, the remote switch power things i have&have seen, right cheap china shit, use for an inaccessible loft lamp or shit, but, xpensive HiFi stuff, etc ./ just no. But thats just mz opinion.
