Yes,,,, but not really any more.
Nowadays you'd only need one of these things to get a really old faucet OUT of a sink.
At least in the USA--the new faucet will have plastic nuts that you just hand-tighten, because they have gaskets in them and you don't need them very tight to seal.
Tap wrench/spanner, its for getting to nuts you cant get to wothout removing plynth/basin. I think its handy but i do plumbin so yeah
