I got the Teen Suicide "It's the Big Joyous Celebration, Let's Stir the Honeypot" vinyl and tried listening to it on my Linn Sondek LP12 and it sounded really slow even though its completely new. My record player is completely fine and all my other records play completely fine except this one. The record was shipped from America, could it be they aren't meant to be played on European record players? I don't know, it could be an issue with the record itself but yeah... I don't know.

Did you try playing it at 45? Some 12s are at 45. 33 rotations is the same in Europe as in america.

That might be the solution, but if that's the case, i'm kinda fucked. I've got a LP12 and changing to 45 rpm is gonna be pretty difficult then. If it's even possible.
I've got a record player from project audio, cost about £250, and it's a belt drive with a 2 speed motor, one for 12" one for 7"
If I remember correctly the 12" rotation is like 33 1/3 rpm and the 7" is somewhere near 44-85rpm depending on its manufacturer or whether or not it's a single.
If it sounds really slow at 33 1/3rpm try bumping it up to 44.
On my it's just a motor with two gears, ita make it easy for me to move my belt, it may not be so easy for you.

I read that warbling can cause this issue and that getting a new belt for your record player can fix this, this record player is over 20 years old so.. might be time to get a new one.
