Hello people of /diy/,

I plan on making a game over the next couple of days but don't know which engine/platform I should use.

I want to make the game in 2D, so unreal 4 would be a little overkill. The issue is that I don't want to use something that's too light and end up making the entire thing from scratch.

I'm ok on Java but don't want to mess with LWJGL.

What would you guys recommend?

Use Unity iz bretty gud for 2D, also don't know how helpful DIY for this. V maybe shit but you'll get responses

Try GDevelop, it's like Contruct 2 but open source
