Hello experts of all that is technology and descendants of Linus Torvalds himself!

I've come to ask how and where I could find some mining equipment that is also available in Romania. I'm currently mining ETH with MinerGate 6.1, but I really want to begin mining BTC or LTC soon.

My current mining hardware is a Laptop with an Intel i5-4210U and an nVidia Geforce 920m and 4 gigs of RAM
>>
My budget is around 123.86 USD (500RON)
>>

My advice, stick to pump and dump alt coins if your going to mine them. The train for BTC left in 2014
>>
>>1008562
Thanks, but what other currency do you suggest? I'd like to mine something that I could also cash out in my Paypal.
>>
Bafta coae, how much have yo made so far?
>>
>>1008582
I nearly made my first Dashcoin, but after seeing it's "price", i decided to change to ETH.

>The app showed about 7.67$ or 31RON, but checking online gave me a lot less. Here's the site: http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/dashcoin/

I was interested in mining for a long time now (2 years) but only recently I have found out about MinerGate which made mining a lot easier for me
>>
>>1008588
Just looked at the page a little more carefully and found out that it's actually still 7$

>fuck.png
>>
is mining still reliable tho?
>>
how long did you have to mine for that
>>
>1008594
Yeah. I'm mining some Dash right now from some old phones and my laptop.
>>
>>1008595
Not a lot. It might have been 1-2 hours if I would have done it non-stop.
It might be related to hardware too. I'm not sure tho.
>>
>>1008597
Nice man
>>
>>1008600
I mean that's some nice pocket money, especially for Romania
>>
>>1008596
What are you using to mine from your phone?
>>
>>1008600
That's pretty much why I'm doing it (+ Bracing for the summer sales) Now I just have to pray that the websites here will soon support paypal.

>>1008596
I'm using the MinerGate app. I actually found out about the software while browsing the appstore.
>>
>>1008607
Thanks man, free cigs sounds pretty nice to me. I have a similar setup, and about 3 phones that I can spare.
>>
>>1008609
You're welcome.

>As a newfag, I'm pretty happy that my first thread is going well

Use anycoin direct to sell
>>
I just started mining by using Minergate, I still don't know if it's worth it.
What was your Hashrate to make 7$ in 2 hours? The score of your hardware?
>>
I might be wrong, but it seems to me that you are making confusion between Dash and Dashcoin.
If that's the case I'm sorry to tell you that you did way less than 7$
>>
Where should a noob like myself go about to start mining bitcoins?
>>
Look at any mining calculator and realize the reward is halving soon. You will never break even unless BTC skyrockets and if that's the case you would have been better off buying BTC instead of a miner.
>>
>>1008596
Is it worth to mine Dash? I'm relatively and I'm pumping out around 280-460h/s with my rig, electricity is free btw.

Care to explain?

Found out that DSH ISN'T Dash but DashCOIN. That's a lot cheaper. Try XMR or ETH. (Sorry)

You should listen to this guy.
>>
Guys I've been really interested in these sorts of things but i don't know nearly enough. Any ideas on where a great start is?
>>
>>1011253
bitcoin subreddit will teach you everything you ever needed to know
>>
>>1011253

There's no money in it, desu. You have to have cheap electricity rates, expensive dedicated hardware, and the patience to not turn a profit for 18 months.

It's not worth it anymore. You missed the boat. Maybe next time.
>>
>>1011264
But it has to be worth. We're bound to evolve into mainstream electric currency use eventually. Maybe not for some time, but a lot of peoppe thought btc was bullshit and then boom-- dosh, drop it while it's hot.
>>
>>1011293

Most of the easy blocks have been mined. The only people making money are the money changers and people with large, dedicated mining infrastructure. Its not an indictment of btc, its simply the economics of the situation.
>>

Im sure it wouldnt hurt to invest so that i have a 100 or 500 "coins" worth of each currency.

I figured that one of these currency will blow up.

Simply by saying shit like that you make clear that you have no idea of what you are talking about
>>
>>1012304
I dunno man, part of my retirement strategy is to buy lotto tickets too.
>>
>>1012304
>>1011336
That would have been a good idea back in 2012.

The real winners from the bitcoin mess were the people that bought a geforce titan that they were going to buy anyway, and used it to mine bitcoins when they weren't gaming.
