I still think wood is the wrong material. Also, your penis latching mechanism is a terrible idea. You'll be able to easily pull your penis out of a rectangular hole when soft. Not to mention the skin pinching issue.

May I make a suggestion? The band may remedy the issue to an extent, but what you may actually need is a side of the box that is rubber, sort of like a fleshlight, but with the end cut off so the penis goes through. Then, the rubber (which would be harder than fleshlight rubber) would grab the penis without pinching. You could retain the clasping part internally if the intention is more sadistic, but I think the rubber would hold well.
Also, please consider a very basic LED light in the box. Perhaps one LED with a very tiny battery and a tiny on off switch.
