Hey, /diy/..
Is it possible to make your own homemade printer ink somehow?
And yes, I know the pic is of a LaserJet printer, my mistake >>1001003

you can get a huge bottle of ink for like $10
I've refilled mine tons of times and I still have a lot left
I got a printer at a rummage sale for $2 and the black ink still worked

It might be possible to farm octopii and/or squid and harvest their ink. Please try it and report back.

finely ground charcoal suspended in a slightly viscous aquatic solution? (Don't use it on a new printer)
>>1001851
That's unreasonably complicated compared to squid solution.

In your reply you forgot the 'farm' part. Which in my humble opinion adds quite the amount of complexity/time investment.

Going to try this. Any reasonable places that sell octopii for less than $50? I've got an old printer ready to go.

ink is super cheap not worth the effort
just don't buy cheap printers that has expensive inconvenient to fill cartridges

Recommendations?

purchase an old laser printer, like an hp 2200.
But will you make your own homemade printer after your homemade ink immediately clogs the printer heads in your existing printer and ruins it forever?

home made plotter would make more sense
