Does anyone here still like Felicity? I agree the Oliver love plot can be a bit of a drag for a superhero show; but I think shes had some good character development.
In season 1 she was a nerdy shy hacker; and by season 4 shes grown in a strong independent who keeps Oliver in check and keeps the team grounded. I do sort of wish they'd cut down the team a bit because it's very crowded and has alot of needless subplots. I think Felicity's Mum is a bit pointless and she never should of gotten into a romance with Oliver; but in terms of being a character herself I think shes one of the stronger parts of Arrow.
I can see why people don't like the romance with her and Oliver; but as a character shes well handled. I'd like to see her moved to legends or something where she can be herself rather than be used to drag out a boring love story.

is a problem. That is Diggle's role not hers. She speaks as if she has experience that she does not. Diggle is the mentor guy, that's his job.

This was actually done well for a while but they have gotten away from it and made her just kind of rude. Before she was a good window to what a "normal" person would feel at times and thus a good voice of reason to talk the team down emotionally and have them reset due to her unique perspective (in terms of the group) as someone who hasn't been fighting for her life, but it went off the rails.
But I dropped the show like 3 episodes ago so it's just kind of whatever.

I can see that's what they're trying to do, but the writers or producers are letting their infatuation with Felicity ruin it.
Instead of being emotional support, they've turned Oliver into a passive, reactionary, incompetent mope. He wasn't the Green Arrow until Felicity made him. He didn't think he could defeat Darhk until Felicity said he could.
Meanwhile, Arrow fucks over all of their other, much stronger female characters. Shado got killed due to a man's choice to motivate another man. Black Canary gets killed due to a man's choice to motivate another man.
Laurel was constantly berated by everyone, physically beaten, killed... while Felicity inherited millions of dollars, recovered from multiple bullet woulds due to a magic back-chip, whines that Oliver isn't good enough for her and berates him, and receives nothing but love, attention, and constant praise from every single character.

Yeh that's true, although I have to admit I like Moira's death a lot. It felt to me like a natural end to her character arc, and was a result of her own noble choice to protect her kids.
It wasn't like Laurel's "we should totally kill someone this season, we'll figure out who later" situation.

The last few episodes weren't too Felicity-centric, I think. She wasn't prominently featured and when she was, she contributed to the story through her role in the team, not as drama generator. She doesn't bother me more than anyone else if it isn't a Olicity plot. But if it is an Olicity plot, Oliver is just as insufferable as her.
The new dynamic on the team is actually kinda nice, I think. Except that Laurel's gone. Really grown to like her character.
Flash needs more appearances from Felicity. She's the best character in the arrowverse, they should utilize her more.
