>>84580230
I noticed marvel was doing that as well

>Uncle Ben will probably live
>Gwen lives, kinda
>Beast continued to mutate
>Wolverine killed Hulk, indeed
>Doom is hero
>Spider-Man's clone lived, then died, then lived, then died, then living again
>Phoenix got back
>Cap was president in Ultimates
>Someone else is Nova
>someone else is also Amazing Spider-Man (I equal it with Silk hijacking whole Peter's origin)
>Cap and Bucky both survived WW2
>Hulk got mind of Banner probably, I'm not Hulkfag but I know he was smart Hulk lately
Writing comics is easy.
616 Marvel has been quote depressing recently
Doctors.
Ruins is comically depressing
>Everyone gets cancer and is not satisfied
>>84580220
Many, because we know that the Ruins universe is only one of many universes, all of which are happier versions of the same events.
That doesn't apply to, for instance, 'Crossed'.
ultimate end
>>84580253
>Somewhere our universe's comics industry took a wrong turn and diverged from the real main universe where storylines are always new and original
>We live in an elseworld
>>84580220
Bad comics. Ruins is good kind of depresseing. Bad comics depress you by the fact they were published. Read Act of God or Avengers Undercover or Bomb Queen and you will cry after experiencing the lowest point this medium has ever fell on.
Storytime?

any point now?
Is there actually a comic portraying depression?
>>84580220
it's more pointlessly edgy than it is depressing.
galactus floating dead in space was cool tho.
>>84580220
storytime please, I can't find a decent dl.
>>84581390
>>84580518
is there a point in storytiming?
Why do the Kree fuckboys think they deserve better treatment than what they got? They tried to invade us, they tried to enslave us. They deserved to be raped without end.
never heard of this, can some one explain whats it about etc
>>84581918
Marvel zombiesbut better
>>84581918
>>84581936
and less zombies like none
>>84581936
Please, anon. My neck beard friend told me Marvel Zombies is the pinnacle of storytelling
>>84582251
its a parady of marvels. In this universe anything that can go wrong does.
It goes over the top but I enjoyed it
>>84581918
It's the opposite of Marvels.
Marvels show how heroes are perceived with the eye of a narrator who makes a positive article about them.
Ruins is the opposite, a bitter journalist who searches why did everything go so wrong
I've found a torrent some time ago, but I just wanted to see how the characters were in this universe.
Peter Parker became a monster of cancer, the Xmen are all in some containment jail, where they are mutilated and broken so they can't use their powers, the Avengers died on their first mission, Cape never woke up in our times, and so on...
>>84582366
Sounds like a happy place to take the kids
>>84581918
I think this is enough to summarise it.
>>84580220
It's not depressing at all.
They tried so hard to be edgy and stuff as much dead heroes on every page as they can that everything ended being a laughable parody
>>84582984
>Tarantino's Nick Fury
>>84582984
charming
I think the most notable aspect of Ruins was the alternate takes on origin stories. And then Ellis executed that far much better in Planetarian
So yeah, go read Planetarian
>>84583325
>Planetarian
You meant Planetary, right?
>>84580220
Nothing is more fucked up than Marvel Zombies.
>>84583441
>>84583441
Marvel Zombies is babbys first depressing comic.
>>84583499
I don't go out my way to read depressing shit. I've read ruins and I read the first 3 zombie series. Zombies left more of a fucked up impression with me overall.
So is that cancer hobo near the end suppose to be Peter Parker? And dafuq happened President Xavier?
>>84580220
Oh come on, nothing about Ruins is depressing. It's a joke from start to finish. A bad joke perhaps, but a joke nonetheless.
The only comic that has ever legitimately bummed me out was We3.
>>84580220
This shit was so fucking depressing it made me depressed for a fucking day and I have been reading Crossed since forever
>>84584694
>hear people talk about We3 as the most depressing thing ever
>always post that panel where the dog is about to get shot
>finally read it
>it's got a happy ending
You just can't trust you faggots.
>>84584478
>>84584478
He's a total asshole.
>>84584808
ReadPride of Baghdadif you don't want happy ending.
>>84580230
Current Marvel is pretty close to Earth X ironically
What killed Galatcus? Why was he just floating in space dead?
>>84584808
You can still be sad for a while even if things turn out better in the end. That's how life mostly is.
>>84585008
Silver Surfer killed himself before guiding Galactus to Earth. So Galactus didn't know where to go and starved to death without his helper.
Because in Ruins everyone's a retard(see: corps of supreme being).
>>84585008
Probably starved to death because he didn't reach Earth on time.
>>84582366
Marvels was pretty ripe for parody, and I like Marvels.
I feel like setting it in an alternate universe diluted the parody a bit. Living through the "real" Marvel Universe would be a horrible enough experience in itself.
>>84580500
???
Ball Peen Hammer is really fucking bleak.
>>84585081
Does Galactus have only one Herald or bunch of them at same time?
>>84588125
He had two heralds after Annihilation afaik, but he explicitly stated that was because he was pretty much starved. He usually has one.
>>84580220
makes you realize how lucky our Marvel universes are. How lucky they and we are.
>>84582984
thats real life Nick Fury.
>>84580220
Does anyone have the DC version of Ruins that that guy made saved?
>>84580773
I dunno
Deadpool?
Are there any other "origin stories go horribly wrong" stories? They're edgy but I love them.
>>84583491
This is like a zombie apocalypse written by a TVTropes autist. Holy shit.
>>84580504
God bless anon
How the fuck did Reed break Ben's skin?
>>84592695
Damn that's edgy, not as edgy as the next page, but edgy all the same
>>84592695
>>84593120
(the next page)
>>84593120
Who's edgier: Zombie Reed or Ultimate Reed?
>>84593436
Zombie. Maker is very close though
>>84581591
Why do Muslims?
>>84593120
I don't think it was edgy in context. He went bonkers because he saw his kids get torn up by zombie She-hulk.
>>84580220
that Peter David Spider-Man story...
you know the one...
with the girl...
tha... you know what, nevermind
>>84596983
I don't know that one actually.
>>84596983
That shit was so cash
