As a vocal Ghostbusters fan, his millions of viewers would not doubt pester him constantly about the new movie, asking his opinion of it, whether it will get a review, whether it deserves a review, whether he went to see it, yada yada yada. This video was made for the express purpose of quelling those questions, and therefore keeping his email from becoming filled with a hundred million different emails asking about nu-ghostbusters.
The method he used to handle the situation was by far the best. Instead of his angry gimmick, he calmly explained his reasoning and his stance, including a particular line about how the trailer should sell the movie to you, and you shouldn't have to waste money to see it to know if you like it. If the trailer sucks, the movie will likely suck too. And it's a good point.
