With Suule's contributions in sprite work I have something to show on the window instead of an endless void. There are no animations currently but not because it would be too difficult to code.
What is probably not noticeable from the image alone is how the tiles are drawn onto the screen. Using tinyxml2 and an algorithm or two, I can use map editors such as Tiled to save .xml files that can then be used as areas or maps. Pretty nifty and convenient as long as you keep the file locations consistent.
Now I'm working on a HUD to be displayed for the player. The issue currently is not in drawing the HUD itself, but how the HUD should be in the first place. Should it be an overlay on the game screen or a separate box within the window? Would it be better to convey more information or to be less intrusive?

Actually, the only thing that could realistically help you is if you lie face first on the floor towards the origin point of the blast. That way the shockwave travels parallel to your lungs and doesn't turn them into hamburger as it travels through your organs.

Well, yeah. He pretty much absorbed her character conclusion. She didn't realized what went wrong with her life by herself or even had the will to live for a second chance. It was all Marx's doing. And you get the feeling it was done just because the author didn't want her to outright die which is pretty tastelss.
