But it is generic trash. Its woodland critters being irritatingly cute while fighting an evil alien warlord to protect some goofy side characters.
Make it actually pleasing to watch.

The story of the game itself is on the level of an early 2000's webcomic and the characters are too reminiscent of sonic the hedgehog as it is so the only way to save them would be to completely overhaul them to the point where they can't be recognized anymore so, as i said, it's impossible.

They actually had a pretty good track record on delivering their stretch goals. The only ones they didn't touch on were the webcomic and a story line for playable Spade (who isn't really officially playable, but can be accessed via mods anyways). It's not perfect, but for $25K in Kickstarter money it's a lot better than some.
