When Pete gets paired with someone, it's to boost their numbers

Is it the same with Miles or are they hoping he gets a boost?
>>
>>84477948
Does he need a boast?

his book sells more than all the chicks there with solos
>>
>>84477948
Miles is the least selling Spider book at Marvel last I checked. So I guess they're trying to draw some sort of crowd in by putting him in as much books as possible. That or they want to make Miles their Grayson and they're too retarded to see that Peter is already their Grayson.
>>
>he will forever trigger /co/ by having covers with every new teenage waifu
>>
>>84477853
He should move to Florida. Change his name up, possibly the Arachnid or something along those lines. New costume. And an actual list of villains that aren't just Peter's. Also, cut all his ties to the heroing community for about three years. After that he can come back when he's finally a character.
>>
>>84477972
Last I checked (which was months ago before they took out the adjective from his book title ) both he and Kamala were hovering around 30-32k
Can't honestly say I recall who had the marginal lead in sales though

I'm more triggered that it's been half a decade and he still hasn't had any character development.
>>
>>84478181
Does anyone know how the Ultimate titles were doing before the universe was set up to KO?
>>
>>84479710
He had character development. After his mom died he went through that whole not really ready to deal with the loss and finally understanding the responsibility that went along with being a hero that Gwen and Jess had to explain to him. And the whole thing with his dad abandoning him. But then you know he got transferred over to 616 and mommy gets brought back to life pretty much erasing anything meaningful that happened in his life... So yea, forget what I was saying. You're right.
>>
>>84479833
He still stood up to his uncle and involved himself in wars he would have run away from before. Still early to tell if the Ultimate universe will be mentioned or not.
>>
>>84479601
>Wolverine? Hercules? Tony Stark?

Legit, he's banged more than them. I'm not talking about chicks that are off screen that we've never seen. I'm talking about how many people we've actually seen them get with.

Because they're all based on Pete's costume which got it right the first time.

I used to work with him actually. One floor down. Saw him daily
>>
>>84482766
I agree, I actually love the costume, but I what I was suggesting previously implies an extreme makeover on the character. It just seems kinda symbolic to make his costume change along with him.
>>
>>84482911
>which got it right the first time.

Subjectively the web armpits were shit, once they got rid of it though it was perfect.
>>
>>84482939
>That young hero was just walking home with some iso-8 he got from his pal Tony. He dindu Avengin'

In all seriousness though, I was actually thinking they could put a focus on his heritage to give him some sort of resemblance of a character. There are a shit ton of latino communities down in Florida that could be used to help develop Miles as his own character. A drastic change from the big city too.

>>
>>84483191
Superior was actually enjoyable, and I'm actually one of the few that was defending it when it was going. But, I only liked it because I knew it was temporary. Be honest, it would eventually start to wear thin after being around for over three years. Mostly because the goal was already met, Otto redeemed himself and the series ended. Also, Otto is a character, unlike the empty husk that is Miles.

Because he's completely self aware just how damaging Spider-Man actually is to people. His relationships always go down one of two paths.

Path 1) The Spider-Man route where he's honest with them, but shit hits the fan and suddenly 'this is too stressful to date a hero'.

Path 2) He lies and they either catch him in the lie and can't trust him, or he doesn't open enough to his partner and they get fed up with him.

To be Peter is to suffer.

I disagree completely with your taste, but I still respect it my dude.
>>
>>84483285
All kids are unformed until they are influenced and shaped by their experiences, that used to be the original Spiderman's hook.
A whole other generation grew up with Peter when he started out even more shallow than Miles, you can't fault him for not having a lifetime of adventures and tragedies yet, not when that's the very trait that defines Peter.
>>
Good Gwen is only hanging out with Miles for a mission or something
so all is well
I hope Gwenpool has a Silk affair
>>
>>84483571
He's been around for almost a decade. He has not developed in the slightest in almost a decade. I'm not talking about how inexperienced Miles is or anything. I'm talking about how Miles is literally the most bland character I've ever seen. If you the first year of Amazing Spider-Man then compare that to Miles' /entire/ run, you can definitely see the difference. I still believe the only way to make Miles good is to give him a complete makeover like I suggested here. >>84478074
>>
>>84483087
>Spider-Man is only good because of writers
FTFY, at the end of the day who's under the mask is irrelevant to the quality of the comic.

Also Peter made a literal deal with the devil and is probably doomed to hell when he dies.
>>
>>84483774
So either way Miles is still shit. But you're still wrong. No one would give a shit about Spider-Man if it wasn't for Peter Parker. Because in all of his best stories, Spider-Man is never the central focus, it's always Peter. Most people can give me freaking massive lists of reasons if I were to ask why they like Peter Parker and what makes him a good character. Now if I asked someone why they liked Miles Morales and what makes him a good character the conversation would go static. Also, it wasn't the devil, it was Mephisto, two completely different entities. Also God himself said that Spider-Man is his favorite super hero, so check mate Atheists
>>
>>84483925
Peter is only the way he his because of writers, to say that a fictional character is responsible for something would be silly. And you seem to forget that most people simply ignore Peter's shit stories.

And Miles started out alright, he just got really boring after his mom died, not bad, just boring.
>>
>>84484201
>entertainment
>boring
>not bad
>something people are supposed to pay for to entertain then being boring
>this doesn't make it bad
>>
>>84483350
That's pretty much every superhero though.

If Clark didn't have Lois, that'd be pretty much the same thing.
>>
>>84484484
When it comes to Marvel these days you really cannot consider boring bad.
>>
>>84484605
boring is worse than bad
take risks
>>
>>84484639
>boring is worse than bad
That is completely untrue unless the bad is just so extraordinarily bad that it becomes entertaining, which isn't often.
>>
>>84484639
>>84484684
Boring IS worse than the insane crap Marvel's pulling these days, can you think of a time in your life when, right or wrong, you were ever more concerned about the characters?
Hell, I'm an X-fan (we know how "devoted" that is) and during the late '90s I just didn't care enough to pick up the comic for six months, because I knew I wasn't missing anything.
And these days I'm worried about dead Hulks and Tony Stark, Inhumans wrecking everything or Cap America heiling Hydra, it's a mad-house!
I make it a point to read all the books these days. That's not because I know what's going to happen next.
>>
>>84484825
>dead Hulks
>Hydra Cap
Things that wont last long, I do feel bad for you X-Men fans though, what's happening to them must be painful to witness.
And even while being boring Miles still sells, the only Spider-Books beating his are Peter's, not sure how Bendis does it.
>>
>>84484825
>>84484925
Such a shame that Carnage, Venom, Silk and Spidey and Web Warriors aren't selling being read. Spider-Gwen is the worst though.
>>
>>84484925
( I feel sorry for me too, DAMN Inhumans and their magic fog! )

I root for Miles, I like him in the team books BUT yeah, he's soooo boring in his own. Those are painful to read. Hope that changes someday soon.
And I hate Peter, and I'm happy that non-SpOck Doc Ock is coming back in some form, but don't be fooled by history: there's no guarantee with Marvel anymore.
Think about it, how many YEARS did SpOck last? How long has freakin' Wolverine, of all mutants, been dead? There's not even a Fantasic Four anymore!
Anything can happen, yeah Banner will come back, Deadclops will Phoenix back to us someday, even Thor will soon be a dude (and a chick) again!
But there's no normal now. That's the new normal.
>>
>>84485137
Carnage having his own title never made sense to me, it's like when DC tried to do a Joker series.
Are you an Eddie Brock Venom fan? Classic flavor and all? They took Venom really far from the original concept.
>>
>>84483151
5'8" hairy chested guy here with blue eyes and dark hair.

When I had mutton chops a few years ago women were complimenting me in front of their husbands regularly. After a while I swept the sides of my hair back and actually had one of em cheat on her husband with me. I never had to say a word or imply interest.

There's something odd about Wolverine's specific body and facial hair patterns. Maybe it causes one to release a unique pheromone or somethin I dunno.
>>
>>84485252
>Carnage having his own title never made sense to me
he's still the villain. the whole thing is framed like a slasher flick.
>>
>>84485329
A good slasher flick like Halloween and original Nightmare on Elm Street or a shitty one like thousands of completely forgettable pieces of shit that tried to cash in on the genre's popularity without putting any effort?
>>
So when is Miles going to get his own name? Being the Spider-Man of a universe that already has a Spider-Man is definitely bad for his notability.
>>
>>84477696

Isn't Miles like 14

and Gwenpools like 20? 21?
>>
>>84485361
as someone who has only seen maybe a dozen slasher flicks in my life, I'm unable to provide an informed opinion
>>
>>84485387
