There isn't much I can tell you. I don't work on any of the DC shows, I work in the promotions department (I basically sell and buy ad-space for the company). I just occasionally hear things around the office or get memos from my boss about what to promote and when to stop promoting. They've told us to heavily promote Kid Flash for the next few months of the show then to stop and switch back to Flash, Iris and Cisco. We only get the stop promoting notices when a character is going to die or be heavily altered.

That was kind of the issue with the season I think. The plotting was just poor. It should not have taken nearly a full season to develop him into someone likeable. Now I feel like we barely know the guy and they're going to give his life yet another upheaval by making him a superhero right away. As flawed as current Arrow is it feels like they did more with selling us on Roy story-wise before they threw him in a suit.
