Personally, i'm a little disappointed that Bismuth isn't male. Like you said, bismuth is a metal and not a stone like the other gems. When I saw Bismuth's figure in "Same Old World", I was kind of hoping that would be an introduction to a race of metals as a counterpart to the gems.
