The 90s had crap colour pallet half the time, but thats okay because the pastel cartoons sucked ass anyway. Anybody who wanted to watch a slice of life cartoon about babies had something seriously wrong with them. The 00s were worse though, at least the 90s didnt look like Newgrounds animations.

There is a reason that media from previous decades are considered superior to todays. People tend to forget below average or terrible media over time until only the best and most popular remain in the public concussions. this happens in all media but is most pronounced when combined with nostalgia.
