Sonic X started in 2003. There were 3 Sonic cartoons during the 90's though, Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog SatAM, and Sonic Underground. As well as the Archie comics.

If you want to get technical, Simpsons was 80's. Yeah, they're golden period happened in the 90's, but you have stuff here like Spongebob that technically started in the 90's had its golden period in the early 2000's.
Also, the original Dragonball apparently? It was an 80's anime, but nobody watched the 90's dub of it. Some people don't even know there was a dub of it in the 90's.

SatAM is an abbreviation for Saturday mornings, because the show aired only on Saturday mornings, while the Adventures of Sonic the hedgehog cartoon aired during weekdays. The cartoon is simply called "Sonic the Hedgehog" and fans don't want to confuse the cartoons with each other.
