It's now focusing on another human character that's supposed to be an analog for how a normal human would immediately react to being thrust into a world of monsters.
Somehow this is meant to be painted as an allegory for bigotry or intolerance and it's really fucking ham-fisted of an analog given the characters in this setting are all inter-dimensional beings with various grasps of the morality of things like life, bodily harm, and dignity.

Eh, trying too hard is still trying. The art style see-saws wildly between "disgustingly detailed" and "childishly simple", even in the same picture sometimes, but it's been an entertaining ride to read through regardless. And I can respect how he didn't pull a hiatus when he realized that this was a much larger project than he originally planned for.

Jay was an earlier victim of the Hospital. He's been trying to get out for over a year.
As it so happens he respawns just like Fern. The differene being he has a random injury that hasn't healed.And after time passes, that injury manifests and he transforms into what Jay calls a Slob. He respawns not to much longer after that. The fact that Fern witnessed him transform and killed him causes a pretty big strain in the relationsiop.
While not evil, per se, he's a big dick. He hates every weird thing in this hospital. Even the friendly shit.
My brother's actually a huge fan. I'm more on and off, but I understand why.
Not only does Bogleech update frequently but he gives the audience a LOT of choices.
One such instance was where he has Fern go to a store inside her body and said. "Buy as many items as you can. I'll be tailoring the next dungeon around the items Fern buys."
Another fine example was having him allow Fern to read any "article" on his Awful Hospital wiki. This includes short stories that allude to the Hospital. In the end Fern picked the one that told her about Jay.
And he offered to do a bonus comic involving any two characters. The ones that were picked were Jay and Dr. Man.
