Surely at least some of you here can do as well if not better than people being paid to write professionally.

>A bunch of teenagers were chosen by the powers of light to combat and imprison a great evil for 1000 years with the power of friendship and love.
>They succeeded in doing this 50 years ago and have since settled down and made families, one of them even being a grandparent as of recently.
>However after this shit happening consistently every thousand years over and over again the evil actually planned for it this time and made a plot for his previous subordinates to release him by kidnapping the ex-heroes' children and using their latent powers of love and friendship to break his prison and empower him more than ever.
>The prior heroes, now all just over the hill and entering their golden years, must once again don their old equipment and use long faded skills to rescue their darling children and kill this fucking bad guy once and for all

Star Trek as a Western.

Basically, it would follow a group of wagoners traveling across the country, stopping by various towns, encountering locals, bandits, Natives, and eventually (usually) getting caught up in some kind of conflict because of it.

It's a show about the journey, not the destination; the characters (wagon captain, wagon security officer, etc) are all traveling in search of a better life while trying to survive in a land where law and chaos are in constant battle with each other. Morality is grey, but ultimately the tone is positive.

Each episode would tell the story, or be focused on, the main characters and mirrored in the conflicts of the episode.

>Roh Kar explains that he tried to teleport to escape a war between his race of Green Martians and the White Martians, but he must have accidentally ended up millions of years in the future, knowing that Mars is completely barren now.
>When explaining that he was once a manhunter, the Martian equivalent of policemen, the DEO makes a deal with Roh Kar, making him an agent investigating aextraterrestrial and paranormal activity.

In an alternate universe where FTL space travel is possible and Earth has made contact with five other alien races, a socially inept 15 year old human girl is forced by her parents to participate in the Galactic Exchange Program or GEP. GEP consists of a class of six teens each a representative from their own planet traveling in a spaceship with an android teacher that can shape shift. She is placed on a ship and one by one the ship picks up all the other kids. Two of the aliens quickly become friends and start messing around which causes the ship to crash on an uninhabited planet. The android is out of commission so the oldest and most responsible tries everything he can to get everyone to calm down. That doesn't work out that well because you have the human who is freaking out over everything, the two screwballs, an overly pissy butterfly looking alien girl, and a monstrous looking alien who is just in the middle of everyones bickering and doesn't know what the fuck is going on. A big creature attacks and the group flees. The human trips and is about to get killed by the creature but then an out of nowhere storm causes the creature to run away. She meets up with the rest of students and the monstrous looking alien is able to get the android to sorta work again but glitches and shapeshifts at random. The pilot ends with the human girl narrating saying she knew this was a bad idea.

I believe the original comes from some /tg/ thread, but the story goes like this.

>MC is an orange haired girl with a hero parent that was always off adventuring
>Dad is a dorky baker type guy
>Daughter finds out mother's last mission mysteriously failed and no one has seen her
>Rumors start popping up that she had fallen to the demons side
>Girl steals away in the night to prove them wrong
>Usual party team with a dickass wizard boy, macho warrior dude (or lady for a twist), and some kind of assassin/bard/ thief with a heart of gold.
>Follows them beating their way across the country and eventually finding the lair of the demon her mother was sent to destroy
>Turns out neither side was right
>Mother is still alive and captured, but is being used to fuel the demons power
>Team can't defeat the demon without kill the mom

You could probably change the end a bit, but there's definitely a lack of moving adventure cartoons these days, at least nothing with a more serious attitude to them.

I've been thinking of this one ever since I drew this for some Calarts ribbing fest.
It starts with a fakeout, seemingly being a cheap cash-in to get 90's nostalgia bucks.
But then in reality it gives a pathos-filled journey into the question of what drives nostalgia- our main character collects 90's shit and dresses in technicolor thrift store crap because he's miserable as an adult and had a truly beautiful and happy childhood he wants to return to. He's actually a much more sincere person than most of his hipster "friends" who often use him as a political prop because of a race he can barely identify with.
Despite all the mopey bullshit, it's a fully plastic animated world chock full of visual gags, elements that tie into the MC's enduring optimism- the light notes keep it from descending to total suicidality.

The Apocalypse has come and gone, and world has begun to heal itself. There are developed city states that emerged after the fallout, which have been in place for sometime now. They're are dirty, and full of the impoverished who scavenge for food, water, and shelter. The most striking thing about them is that the city states are all governed by so-called gods, that nobody ever sees, and yet they are prayed to and celebrated fervently.

There are still places people can't go, places where the fallout had yet to subside, "dead zones" where life has yet to recover.

Ben is a rather depressed teenager who ventures into these dead zones to find old world tech to sell so he can live, when he finds an old war robot. He fixes it up after bringing it back home with him, and learns about what happened during the war, etc.

Basically, it's superpowered Fallout. Somewhere along the lines, he manages to gain superpowers based off of his will power (I call it the Spirit of Determination) from one of the lesser gods who recognises that humanity is being taken advantage of by the gods who have grown lazy (since everyone's devoted to them). Also, the robot is actually a guy who's soul got trapped in the machine, and he's bound to it.

At the end, I'd have him face off against all of the gods, freeing humanity from this sort of loop, and it turns out the lesser god was actually manipulating them the whole time.
>>
>Post apocalyptic setting
>Young scavengers looking for cool tech from pre-doomsday

>Race evil government to get the device and activate it to potentially rule new-new earth

>Third villain is a pathetic puppet guy with a posse of weirdos in a dimension of everything forgotten, later revealed to not be the big bad of the dimension and tries to help the protags before dying.
>Fourth villain is a psychotic, vain woman who can warp reality and her own personal army of demons. Killed off third villain to establish dominance.
>Fifth villain is everyone and thing forgotten throughout history condensed into a giant humanoid freak that wants reality to be destroyed, is the big bad of the series.

>Basically your basic fantasy story with mice and cats with swords for a while, encounter hardships along the way
>Finally reach deathlands, where it is rumored the souls of ancient beasts roam among the twisted metal landscape and sickness comes from the earth
>The twist is the deathlands are actually the nuclear ruins of a German city in an 80s Cold War gone hot, and the story takes place hundreds of years later with mutated, intelligent animals
>It's littered with burnt out armored vehicles, old fortifications, and destroyed towns, and the 'earth sickness' is radiation poisoning
>The ghosts of all who perished in the nuclear explosions and the battles preceding them roam the wastes, sometimes taking physical form to try and harm the protagonists
>Eventually, the protags find out that the stone was forged at ground zero, containing the souls of all who died because so many of them were dying at once they could not pass through to the next life. These souls are what's powering their magic.
>In order to dispel the souls from this realm to the next and end the suffering of those who died, the protags have to make a choice between destroying the stone and all magic disappearing, or keeping magic at the expense of the dead humans' eternal suffering
This would probably do better as an RPG setting but whatever.

I like it. I love it when the fantasy-like stuff are actually taken place in supposed real-life.

They clearly haven't met Frank Horrigan.

I just came up with it on the spot, but I think it's probably too dark for a children's cartoon.

*old raspy voice, think John Hurt in Hellboy*
>Long ago, before mankind ascended into civilization, the Earth and other planets were the domain of my kind, the eldritch Old Ones.
>In our time, we fought each other, and as a result, our numbers and resources were inefficient to defeat a threat that loomed over the galaxy.
>I was the leader of a group intent on creating weapons and plans to combat this great threat...but we were too late. All but a few of us were obliterated; those that were not ascended to a higher plane of existence, one beyond mere time and space.
>But now the threat is returning to Earth, ruthless in its dark intentions. (Think the Reapers or Galactus)
>I have assigned you, and others, certain tasks, and in completing these tasks, your world will be saved.

After convincing friends to join him and the Old One speaking in his head, the main character travels across the world to complete the tasks given to him, from delivering information to people to locating ancient, advanced firearms to unearthing and fixing a huge orbital defense cannon. He gets help not only from his friends, but also from the Old Ones' AI and other people who have been given tasks to complete ("Did you think I would leave the fate of this planet solely in your hands? You are not alone.")
The big vague threat also sends scouts to stop or hinder the main character's progress. It's revealed that this happened to the Old Ones as well. They range from strong, ugly monsters like the Predator to more intelligent shapeshifters that hide in plain sight and pull strings, i.e. getting the main character thrown in an asylum or making them wanted by the police.

All of this is season/volume 1 or 1 and 2, with season/volume 3 being the malevolent Old Ones returning/trying to return, and final season/volume having humanity use the Old Ones' technology and seeing things change rapidly, from transhumanism to brain-uploading to viable space travel, with a lot of self-reflection as a species.

The comedic adventures, set in the time of the Arabian nights, of a kid who is among Ali Baba's forty thieves, and is easily the most competent of the thieves next to Ali himself, if somewhat childish and capricious.

Together, they travel the lands in search of treasure and adventure and stuff.

>Writer's Block
>A screen writer and his family move to the city so the writer can be closer to work.
>His children end up making friends with the various residents that live there, many who are either children like themselves or adults with some sort of experience as writers, actors, musicians, etc.
>They stumble upon a special pen that, when used to write a story, ends up transforming their entire block into the scenario they describe.
>The many residents end up playing different roles in these stories, and when the stories end, things return to normal with no one the wiser (though retaining some of the lessons they may have learned in the process).
>Children use the pen to have fun and help their neighbors, but also must contend with a villainous entity that periodically appears in their stories, and wants to use their pen as a way of writing themselves out into the real world.

Whatever happened to the heroes for the common man? where are the avengers for rape, murder, and thievery? There are some crimes not committed by grand super villains, and for those crimes the Colors Corps was established. As an extension of the police force made out of super heroes granted powers by a mysterious woman known simply as "The Director" the members of Colors are tasked with enforcing justice. however with the responsibility of these powers on their shoulders the members of Colors find that Justice is a very subjective word.

A boy falls in love with a girl.

Unable to confess, he is gifted with by a deus ex machina with the girl's phone number. Never minding the strange area code, he immediately calls her, and is overjoyed to find out that she has a crush on him as well.

But, the next day, when he recounts the previous day's confessions to the girl, she only looks at him with a perplexed expression. After some investigation, he finds out that the girl he called is not the same girl he fell in love with. In fact, she doesn't exist in this universe at all. She is the girl's alternate universe counterpart, who has fallen in love with the MC's own AU self, who too is blissfully unaware of her crush.

Hijinks ensue as the two strike up a deal to give each other their darkest, most private secrets in order to equip the other with the weapons they need to conquer the heart of their other selves. While the two chase their respective loved ones, DRAMA ensues as they begin to fall in love with each other instead and question the NATURE of LOVE.

>Burn After Reading type plot points.
>Extended into a tv series.
>Give the shitty broken couples kids, make the show about them, and have it work like Hey Arnold or EEnE most of the time.
>Keep the closet scene, but make one of the characters a kid. Doesn't matter which.

>Stage actually magicians have real magic powers
>There's an "underground magic world" like in Harry Potter
>A 14-year old boy lives with his late 20's brother, who's a magician
>They go on adventures and do jobs in the magic world to finance the brother's magic club
>Also there are monsters and magical creatures and shit

This is based off of an actual idea of mine, though it's hard to summarize it in greentext

>Jurassic Park/World Cartoon
>Initial (and only brief) focus on the military shit so they can keep it out of the movies
>creating weaponized dinos in a jungle instead of an island until (shockingly) disaster strikes
>all dinos escape, some are even captured by locals and sold on the black market
>that turns to shit to after they kill people and escape
>dinosaurs basically freeroaming the world now and breeding
>there is no way to round them up, so a team composed of the most popular characters of the franchise come together and go on missions to solve new dino related problems that are created around the world

Basically an animated version of Primeval, but with more of the Jurassic park fun.

>Magic is commonplace and an international Bureau is set up to train magic users to protect cities alongside police
>Magic users are assigned in divisions with at least one Bureau agent along with them
>The main division is a team of five teenage girls themed after five Muses from Greek mythology
>Muse Melpomene, serious strategist leader who defected from the villains and is working to atone for her past
>Muse Calliope, rough and tomboyish former street delinquent
>Muse Erato, glamorous girly girl fashionista with a Bureau official father (and a villain sorceress mother)
>Muse Thalia, cheerful comic book nerd and youngest in the group
>Muse Polyhymnia, gentle close-to-nature type with an affinity for animals
>Their agents are two brothers
>Older brother is a straight-laced workaholic who obsessed over training
>Younger brother is a meek scientist nerd with a superpowered side (a la Bruce Banner and the Hulk)
>The main antagonist is the leader from the villain organization Melpomene left, used to be Melpomene's mentor and is at the top of the Bureau's "most wanted" list
>Lots of focus on character development with an overarching storyline, with some comedic one-off episodes now and then to keep things from getting overly grimdark

tl;dr: team of magical girl superheroes with two agent brothers fights crime, the leader has to face demons from her past in the form of the leader of the villain organization that she left

>Plot takes place "some time" after the great recession.
>Two kids get lost into another world in a borderline underground limbo after a typical fight with each other.
>The boy is your obligatory 12-year old main protagonist with noodle arms.
>The girl in mind is an Alpha Bitch. She morally contrasts the boy, and lacks genuine knowledge about the wilderness.
>Both characters must resolve their differences if they want to go home.
>Alpha Bitch gradually learns to open up to the boy. Both would even show each other's feet as a symbol of both comfort and trust with each other.
>The main villain in mind is essentially a cross between Bill Cipher, Hoopa, and the Dark Star. He was once a well-respected magician.
>An underwater war veteran resembling Qwilfish, but with a lot of landmine/spike ball-esque traits. Front spikes are missiles that can even act like literal drills.
>There will be jokes and meta humour around overused plot elements, like the deus ex machina.
>Hidden messages and cryptograms would also be scattered throughout the show, just like in Gravity Falls.
>The boy's parents both have great taste in astronomy. I feel like both should be voiced by Ian Hanlin and Kelly Sheridan.
>A one-off anxious antagonist in mind would also be voiced by Marty Grabstein if he is available. If not, do suggest another actor that does a good job portraying a very anxious character.
>Intended guest appearances would include well-known voice actors like Tom Kenny, Tara Strong, Kevin Michael Richardson, and even Justin Roiland!
>Some subtle homages to departed actors like Tony Jay, Robin Williams, and Alan Young might also be included.
>The overall goal of the show is to develop the Alpha Bitch's character and give her a true happy ending.

How's this to /co's tastes?
