The fourth and fifth volume of SP were less cartoony than the sixth. Still haven't read Seconds yet though. Maybe he's just taking his time with this one or just changing up his style.
I liked Seconds but I feel like he fucked up the ending. Girl should remained a single at the end, not gotten back with the guy. Kinda invalidated everything she learned over the course of the book.

We came from Scott Pilgrim being a douche having to learn how to be better vs a girl with a pretty great life that was still complaining about shit somehow and ended up learning nothing in Seconds.
Its like, when he got fame he became the Adam Sandler of comic books, from lovable losers in his comics to people with great lives that somehow are still jerks
