There are fags who still think this was a mistake.

>"Being married ages him too much! Nobody can relate to a married superhero!"
>The most popular and important superhero of all time married to a literal supermodel sex goddess
>>84300205
>Mary Jane had no personality before OMD!
How long until DC follows suit and breaks up Superman's and Lois's marriage?
>>84301293
Um that was the whole point of the New 52. They tried and it blew up in their face.
>>84302733
no the new 52 was an attempt to retell the getting together but people got impatient
I never understood why the marriage part was the issue with editorial. Heck, they did not even used the "he is married to a supermodel" as the nail to kill the marriage. The only point of argument for them was the marriage itself.
Because Marvel knows that a New Yorker from Queens who pays the bills as a photographer, has no parents, cares for his widowed aunt/mother figure, fights crime on a constant basis, fights superpowered beings outside of even comic logic, dates the hottest women even by comic standards and on the side is a genius and prodigy yet the only thing that impedes people from relating to him is that he is married.
Marvel WTF.
>>84302800
Is that why they got Supes together with Wondy to the point they shared a book?
At least Stan Lee kept them married in the comic strip
I think this is part of a larger problem with the company where Marvel won't let any character really develop any further because there are no rules and everything will eventually be undone.

it was
>>84301229
Who the fuck says that? Gwen never had any personality despite in adaptions and alternate universes, but i've never seen anyone but people who have only seen the films say that MJ had none.
>>84303052
That relationship was done to show how bad it was and the Superbooks while it was going on essentially ignored it.
I'm sorry you're too dumb to actually read the things you complain about.
>>84304443
Is there any reason for those two to be together except for leather and furry fetishists self-inserting into Peter?
>>84300205
Well you're in luck OP. The Spider-man/Deadpool books have been hinting that they are gonna deal with Mephisto in a coming story arc. This might be our retcon chance!
>>84304869
Love triangles are easy to write, and usually pretty entertaining.
>>84304869
superhero+superhero=power couple with witty repartee
superhero+civilian=constant complaining about how different they are and how hard i is living with an SO that could get killed any day of the week
and Cat pairs nicely with Spidey as a fellow fun-loving acrobatics-based fighter that isn't just a spider-person herself
and if Kraven murdered Peter, would Molly Joe avenge his death? I think not
>>84304823
>Who the fuck says that?
Slott said it himself:

>>84305197
SEE THIS ANON FUCKING GETS IT
Also she doesn't have to be saved as often as MJ does on a weekly fucking basis.
>There will never be a movie where Peter and Felicia are dating and she saves herself in the climax allowing Spidey to wail on the villain without stopping
>>84305197
>>84306274
That's just gimmicks though. Pete's relationship with MJ is built on love and support while his relationship with Cat is based on thrills and "fun"
>>84306363
>implying Felicia didn't love him
>>84306363
>implying Felicia didn't support him

Clark and Lois marriage was a cash grab gimmick anyway, just like Death of Superman and blue/red superman. Most people liked it only because of nostalgia. It had made 90s and early 2000s Superman books completely stale and the books had turned into a stupid soap opera.
