I was iffy on a lit of these books in their first month, but they all seemed to hit their stride in their second issue. Except for JL which is just dry and boring still. What really works for a lot of them is the characterization for everyone seems on fucking point. Lots of good character moments and interactions.

I've never been one for waifus and husbandos, but I really, really like these characters and I hope this book continues on a the same high as this. I think they really are focusing on characters instead of events, making the books more well rounded and investing, maybe that's why JL fell flat, it focused too much on the story, and not enough on the characters. So far the best books have had a great balance of the two

Ollie met Diggle during Zero Year when he was his moms bodyguard. Mom died of cancer then Diggle was just floating about without purpose till Ollie met him and asked him for help.
Ollie started falling off the horse, becoming a drunk and told Diggle to fuck off when Diggle told him to get his shit together. All the while he brought Roy(who was a kid at this point) into what had up until that point been a 2-man operation between Dig and Ollie.
He returned in Lemires run to take down not-Richard Dragon whose father Diggle killed while wearing Ollies costume while Ollie was fucked. After that the CW writers run happened which everyone ignores but currently its not been explained why Dig left again yet.
If you have time read Jeff Lemire and Sorrentinos New52 run. This run is following up on certain elements like Emiko and Diggle from that

It's honestly amazing how much Percy's writing (and pacing) has improved. Like, not just on an issue to issue basis, but he's really excelling with scene transitions and making sure there's this great momentum, while having enough time to enjoy the scenery with beautiful pages.

JL will keep having Hitch on writing duties. The thing is, Percy was quite similar: his previous run wasn't that great, but his GA Rebirth issue was objectively an 8/10 if not better.
Justice League Rebirth, at least for writing, does not inspire much faith. I mean, it's *also* worth keeping in mind that a decent writer like Johns couldn't write Justice League very well, so there's not a whole lot of hope for Hitch.

You pretty much need to read Lemire and Sorrentino's run, which is from #17 to #34. Great stuff overall (and pretty much catapulted both their careers to temporarily being superstars) -- the usual lament is that Oliver is kind of a bland action hero, but they invest a lot of time into fleshing out the Green Arrow mythos. The run will explain Diggle, Emiko, how Shado fits into this, and probably hint at the larger forces at work.
Skip everything before that. It's also not recommended to read Percy's issues (40-52), since they're not very good and don't seem to be too important right now.

E2 Society will likely depend on what they do with the Earth-0 JSA. I've been one of those readers that love the character but haven't found trades for the price I can get them for. So I use /co/ to download and readand the library, it's pretty damned good for getting this stuff. So my reading of GA is pretty scattered. But I would start with Longbow Hunters. It's them after they have been together a long time, but it really cements their relationship.

This was my theory as well.
I feel like, early into DCYou, most writers were told to hold off on their big ideas since they'd be relaunching and shifting to something else soon enough. So, books like Green Arrow and arguably Yang's Superman got fucked in that regard -- but their Rebirth books might actually be good.
Honestly thinking of dropping this one. There's really nothing new or interesting being told here, story-wise. Pretty generic with obvious intentions. Maybe I'll give it a couple more issues but I'm not loving it.
