Has there ever been a well done character who's thing is "He/She is a normal human in a group of superhumans"

By the way, a team heart or someone's who only contribution to the team is being the moral center isn't a well done character.

Bonus points for said character not being rich and simply paying for advantages.
>>
There are tons of ways someone could contribute to a team without having special powers. They won't be on the frontlines trading hits, but that doesn't mean they're useless.

Leader, manager, tactician, hacker, tech specialist, detective, spy, infiltrator, etc.

Pretty sure Catman and The Question have been on teams before in that role

Either Vic or Renee

This is more /a/ than /co/ but after the "Save Rukia on Namek" saga in Bleach, the Quincy guy lost his magic arrow powers and was virtually just a normal person.

He proceeded to be the only useful person in the group when they needed to do a bunch of shit that did not involve punching things.

Once of the mentor characters even went so far as to point this out at the end of the episode.

Sokka from ATLA is the perfect example of this.

>Leader

Usually has the most superpowers of the group

>manager

Name a cartoon with a "manager." Alfred? Maybe. Depends on what you mean.

>tactician

Usually done by the leader (think: Cyclops) or by some tech member who has tech powers

>hacker, tech specialist

Virtually superpowers in this day and age. Look at Robin in Young Justice

>detective

Read this in ra's al ghul's voice.

>spy, infiltrator

Kind of like hackers, this is basically having a superpower at this point. Look at Black Widow, yeah, she's a normal, but she's been given so many extra skills that there's no way a normal person IRL would have that level of skill.

Just like how Batman is ripped as fuck and an acrobat, those are on two different ends of a spectrum, to be flexible you need to be lean, to be a bodybuilder you need to have mass.

There's a lot of non /co/ stuff that has actual normies who aren't given plot-armor-level skills, but we're talking books and hollywood films.

Except he wasn't. 99% of the time he was dead-weight, and the few times he did fight they had to plot armor his ass so hard he got a free space rock sword out of it.

Suicide Squad. Amanda Waller. That's what they mean.

Yeah, I know there's no Suicide Squad cartoon... yet, but you get the idea.
>>
The recent Harbinger relaunch featured a unpowered girl who was the only one who actually had real goals and drove the group forward

That Justice League animated direct-to-video (the one where Hal gets BTFO by Darkseid) did Batman pretty well. He wasn't nearly a match for Superman, his gadgets were all used (the fact that most Batman shows/comics/films barely have him use his belt pisses me off) and they showcased that he thinks out of the box plus knows how to disguise himself, a technique that is his signature move (or at least used to be).

Jarvis isn't normal.

He's literally just a regular butler. Captain America even praised him for being around through thick and thin, different teams, etc.
>>
Sokka
>>
>>84277130
He was pretty competent in the vidya I played
>>
>>84277130
He was the one who organized the Invasion on the day of Black Sun, he helped invent various machines that were vital

He kept contact with the other pockets of resistance and kept the group on mission, getting Aang from the South Pole to the North Pole to Ba Sing Se to the Fire Nation, when he needed to be there.

He destroyed the Air Ships, stopping the Fire Nation from burning down the Earth Kingdom
>>
>>84278190

I guess that true, but he does have to be given literally the most unique weapon in the world before he's a real badass.
>>
>>84279500
Nah he does a bunch of shit before that. He's the smart guy who comes up with the plans when "Shoot air/water/earth at it" doesn't work.
