It seems weird to complain that an event is too obviously contrived to push Marvel's editorial agenda, but even by event standards this is depressingly obvious.
I think what kills it for me is that it combines the Carol push with the Inhumans push, the two most blatant and over-the-top Marvel pushes of the last few years. If they'd just stuck with one - try to push Carol or try to push the Inhumans - maybe I'd just about buy it.

This might be Marvel's worst plan event. Even worse than Fear Itself. Fear Itself had a really good premise but it wasted it and was way too long.
Here, the main story doesn't even make sense. It's about Pre-Cog vs. Anti-Cog, and yet Tony's side really has no argument. Were they supposed to let that giant...thing rampage? Or Thanos get the cube to kill hundreds first? And the fact that the big world ending threat wasn't even defined shows how little they care about this event. Everything is just happening because they want the most controversy. War Machine is dead, She-Hulk was almosted dead but isn't really anymore, and they are hyping up the next issue's big death, and everyone knows that it's gonna be Hawkeye that kills the Hulk. Even typing that, it just feels wrong.
This whole event reeks of producers taking over a project. Purely cashing in on a popular event and movie synergy, but the logic isn't there. Why are they saying that stealing a tank equals racial profiling? Why are they saying that these disasters should just happen? Like Kamala would feel so much better if her school did blow up, or Thanos did blow up Miami or some shit.
Even creating another Marvel NOW and Bendis so eager to promote "All New Black Teenager War Machine" just shows how crummy Marvel is right now. Diversity comes before character, and somehow replacing the perfectly good War Machine with a college age black girl is beyond fanfiction tier.
At this point, I think Alonso is the real problem at Marvel, because they need to get their fucking act together before the entire company crashes when all these fangirls get distracted by a new franchise.

the one that is only partially fire is Dante(?), he was created by Matt Fraction and Joe Maduiera, but Fraction left the book and Soule took over but JoeMad! had already drawn two issues starring Dante and they done a lot of promos with his imagery on it (same with Lash), so Soule and Marvel were pretty much forced to use them, even though Soule clearly doesn't care that much for the characters.

That's not even the problem. The problem is they did something similar already. Ultimate Spider-Man was killed and replaced with Miles Morales. I've got no problem with Miles because at least it was done somewhat naturally.
Here you have a rehash of an event (Civil War) with a rehash of Minority Report, with a rehash of killing a hero off to replace with another younger character to get attention from the press. And what's worse is that the hero being killed off was originally a replacement to another hero--Tony Stark, who was drunk for a while. So it's not even anywhere near the same effect as Ultimate Spider-Man had.

I kind of wondered about comparing the Quesada and Alonso EIC eras. Quesada had Civil War, House of M, Secret Invasion, Dark Reign, and Siege. Alonso has... what, Fear Itself, AvX, Age of Ultron, Infinity, Original Sin, Axis, Secret Wars, and Civil War II. With banners of Marvel Now, Avengers Now, All-New All-Different Marvel, And whatever the upcoming Marvel Now is going to be called. I didn't like most of the stuff from Quesada's EIC time that I mentioned... but they seemed more exciting than most of the events on Alonso's time as EIC.
